Very comfortable jacket light and warm however not warm enough for this 2013/2014 frigid New England winter. But with a sweater or sweat shirt under it I have survived.

I bought this jacket primarily to serve as a wind and wet weather shell for walking and jogging in the moderate Seattle climate. So far it has worked perfectly for this purpose. In addition, it looks smart enough to wear generally on other occasions. It is long enough that it covers most type of shirts that one would wear on the outside of pants. I wear a medium size, and this fits me perfectly (I would say that it is old school medium and not the inflated medium size of recent years). Note that it is narrowly tailored, and it would probably not fit over a bulky sweater or other heavy layer. It has a thin fleece lining which provides adequate warmth in cool temperatures. In spite of the weather resistant outer layer it seems to breathe well, and I have not overheated in it while out jogging. I have not been in a downpour yet, so cannot comment on water resistance.

I have some minor complaints: the lapels don't lie completely flat against the jacket when partially unzipped (they are a bit rumply), and the garment has some wrinkles that won't go away (you are not supposed to iron it). Maybe things will straighten out a bit after the first washing.

All in all I would recommend it to anyone for a light weight jacket.

I had high expectations of this jacket. Received it right before leaving for Alaska and it worked great as a wind breaker and kept me toasty warm. I do a lot of hiking though and got caught in the rain a few weeks ago. The coat was shedding water but by the end of the hike I was completely soaked underneath my coat. Moral of the story is that it is not waterproof. It may resist some light rain but don't count on it keeping you dry.

This is an updated version of the excellent Columbia Men's Venture Creek jacket. This Columbia Men's Utilizer II jacket is perfect in moderate to cool weather. It repels rain and cuts wind when needed, but it's also perfect on sunny autumn days. Looks great pared with a black Kangol cap. For athletic men, this falls nicely from the shoulders, providing dignity and grace to the wearer. This is a versatile, flattering, comfy, and classy design that would look great on anyone. Enjoy!

Great jacket. Good discount. Bought for my husband for Christmas, he really likes it. He is about 5' 7" medium build. I bought a size medium, fits him well, looks nice on. Has a nice tailored look to it, doesn't hang loosely like most wind breaker type jackets.

The jacket fits nicely, however the lining is so thin it is almost like nothing. If you wear a polyester top underneath it is OK. If I had tried iron in a store, I probably would not have bought it.

It's an ok jacket. It's inexpensive. Looks and feels comfy. A little big though.
I got the large and I'm 5'10" and 195 lbs and it's a little baggy. Good for layering up underneath.

Slim fit but roomy, warm liner, and comfortable in moderate weather. Columbia makes quality products and I am expecting years of enjoyment from this product.

I got this for my dad when my parents were visiting in the spring and it turned out to be perfect for the weird unpredictable weather patterns of new england. The shell is more or less waterproof and the lining inside seems to keep him warm. When the temperature drops to 60s and below, he wears a sweater underneath and feels fine. My parents live in the tropics, so they feel the cold a lot more than us locals. It's also a nice shade of blue and goes with everything. All in all, a great buy!
