This is a heavy duty jacket and will work well for my upcoming tahoe trip. I ordered Black XL and got exactly that. Nice features of comparable Columbia jackets costing 4 times as much. However, if you go to REI or other sports stores and try on other Columbia jackets, be warned this one runs a little bigger than most of the Titanium or other current offerings. So if you are between a Large and XL, go for the Large unless you plan on wearing tons of undershirts or a sweatshirt - which you won't need with this 3-in-1. Aside from size, the only other gripe is there is no rubberized elastic snow gaiter around the bottom of the jacket to help keep snow and water from creeping in. So if you plan on taking on some serious powder, consider another jacket. Otherwise, there is a draw string at the bottom of both the removable liner and the shell. Finally a minor jab, I bought mine at 69 bucks and hours later it was at 49 which was a little insulting. But hey, still a great price.

I would give this jacket a five star rating if it had been as described and shown in the pictures.

It is a very nice, well made and warm jacket and for the price I paid for it have no reason to complain but want to let everyone know. I got this in the fossil color and the color scheme is not the same as shown in the pictures. All of the colors were the same but just in different places. The fossil color was where the grey is pictured and the grey is where the fossil color is pictured. I really do not care though as I think it looks better this way.

It is well worth the money and I am surprised that there are so many of these left.

Personally, I got exactly what I expected. The jacket was the right size, color and I got a great deal at the $69 price I purchased it for. Can't believe that the price now is $149. Unreal at the deal I got. My husband loves it. I never knew that it had gone for $49 until I just read these reviews. That is great for all who got it for that price. But I am completely satisfied with the jacket and the cost. Merry Christmas!!!

As someone who doesn't often buy winter jackets (the last was maybe 8 years ago or longer) and as someone who has been burned before with Amazon clothing being a totally different style/color when it was received...I can say I am very very satisfied by this jacket and extremely pleasantly surprised. EXACTLY as pictured, EXACTLY as described.

What I like best is the jacket's versatility (removable liner and hood), securely and plentiful zippered pockets, good neck coverage (for cold/windy/snowy days), and an overall feel of quality (hard to say exactly but it feels well-made with top materials). I found the size to be true to standards; I'm 6 ft 205-210 and XL fits me perfectly with enough room to maneuver and layer if need be.

Price can't be beat (I got mine for $49.99, it's now $69.99); if you're patient and not in a rush, I recommend putting the jacket in your Amazon shopping cart and then buying it as soon as it drops back to $49.99 (don't panic if it looks to be out of stock or your preferred sizes seem gone...it always seems to come back). After buying it (especially if you pay more than $49.99), put it back in your Amazon cart and monitor if the prices goes down within 30 days (notify Amazon via email links and they'll refund the difference).

Only negative -- actually more of a heads-up to those considered it (everyone has different tastes/preferences) -- is that the waist can be tightened by pulling on a kind of drawstring gizmo but it's not elastic and thus not airtight to keep out cold air around the bottom of the jacket. If you are layered during skiing (that's the jacket's intent, to allow for layering, if desired) or just not standing in sub-zero blizzard for hours on end, you should be fine.

I bought this jacket for my husband and he loves it! I got it in the green color scheme at $69. It is WELL worth that and more. He loves the colors and the jacket. Its VERY warm and he loves the color. It is not too bright but not too subdued either. Most of the jackets in this range are either not made as well or have strange colors for a younger age group. My husband can wear this jacket to play in or to work and still look professional around his employees. All the pockets are a plus too because he can keep his work and home cell with him as well as paper, pens etc for writing up job orders while at work. I would have bought this jacket full price and felt that I got my money's worth but at $69 or less as it is now, its a steal!

I am one of the people who got this jacket for only $50! At your local B&M store these normal go for atleast $89 and that is for the ugly/brightly colored thats why they are on clearance ones. I have been through rain, snow, cold and windy days all while staying warm and dry. For the reviewer below this is clearly a high quailty Columbia jacket. I would also agree with the others who say is the jack is big for its size. The only complaint I have is it keeps me too warm.

This is a great jacket. I got it for my husband for Christmas last year and it is now on my Christmas list for this year. It is useful in nearly all season, which is a huge bonus considering we live in the Midwest!

This Parka keeps you away from the weather outside. I really liked it. If you are looking for a coat for the winter or spring, take this one.

This is the best winter jacket I ever bought! I live in Fairbanks, Alaska and this jacket is perfect for our long winter days. Fits nicely and very warm.
