5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I wanted
These bath sheets are big, plush, and soft! Because they are new, they still give off fibers (so, contact lens wearers, wipe your hands on an older towel just before handling your lenses). I wanted elegant but reasonably priced towels for houseguests, and was very happy to get these on sale in the color and sizes I wanted.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too much lint, otherwise it does the job
The towels are definitely great for doing everything you expect a towel to do (i bought about 7 of these in different colors).

I wear contacts, and in the morning the first thing i do is wash my hands, dry them off, and start putting in my contacts. I can't do that with these towels, because i always end up with tiny pieces of towel left on my fingers. I end...

5.0 out of 5 stars very nice Columbia bath towels, December 24, 2007

I absolutely love these Columbia bath towels!! We have the dark brown, which is a very nice color. It reminds you of the chocolate brown color. The bath towels are so nice and big! They wrap around me really well after my shower, unlike some of the standard bath towels that barely fit around my 'pleasantly plump' figure. :0) I think you would be very happy with this purchase.....I know I am.

I wear contacts, and in the morning the first thing i do is wash my hands, dry them off, and start putting in my contacts. I can't do that with these towels, because i always end up with tiny pieces of towel left on my fingers. I end up drying my hands on my shirt to avoid the lint.

So these are great for showers and typical towel activities, but it will leave some lint on you, which is useless if you're trying to get your hands clean enough to handle contact lenses.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, great size, soft and thursty, June 13, 2008

Purchased the vintage violet bath and hand towels and washclothes. The quality of these items is good. The size of the towels is really nice ... quite a bit larger than our JC Penny Chris Madden towels we replaced. Also MUCH softer.

There is some lint in the room from the towels, but not as much as we had when the Chris Madden towels were new.

Very happy with towels. Wish there was a matching bath rug. Don't hesitate to buy these.

I've had these for 6 months, very happy with how soft they are, and they haven't frayed at all, seem to be stitched well. Had to wash them a few times to get rid of the lint.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quality and Price, February 7, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought these towels because they were cheap in price. I know when you buy cheap then more times than not, the quality is low, but this is an exception. They are really nice and I love that they are larger than the standard towel. I live in Hawaii and towels never quite seem to dry out because of all the moisture in the air. Because of that problem, the towels seem to develope a moldy smell to them, no matter how often you wash them. These towels seem to be better in this climate. I would recommend these towels!

3.0 out of 5 stars Cuddly!, March 31, 2009

The bath towels and washcloths are very large, dense, absorbent, and soft. They are not thick, but are of obviously high quality, so silky that I checked to be sure they didn't contain some other fiber in addition to cotton. I purchased towels and washcloths in cypress, clay and verdant, and the colors work very nicely for my guest bathroom.

Here are the features which caused me to give the product a four star rating:
The washcloths are a bit odd, in that they have a decorative woven edge on one side only.
All the pieces have a "Columbia" label sewn permanently into the hem on the decorative edge, making that advertisement apparent to all who might use them.
They are made in China. (I DO wish Amazon posted country of origin on all product listings!)

Update: After several washings , one of the towels has a frayed edge, where the hem is actually coming loose from the towel. Out of six towels and six washcloths that isn't too bad, but shouldn't happen. For that reason, I dropped the rating to three stars.

I purchased eight of these towels for 10 bucks each. Right after I ordered them, I went back to get four more and they doubled the price to 20 a towel. Holy cow! They're good towels but not that good. Wait to get them on sale if you can. The towels are big and soft but they do leave lint.

5.0 out of 5 stars pleasurably soft towel, April 9, 2008
I have never bought towels over the internet before but these were the right color and the right price. They are fabulously soft and larger than other bath towels. I am disabled and cannot always get to the store but shopping online is much better than driving in all the traffic and wasting gas, etc. Amazon.com always comes thru for me!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great towels, but branding is obnoxious, April 5, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These are good quality towels, well constructed and soft to the touch. My only complaint is the obnoxious Columbia label that is sowed on to the hem of each towel. I don't much care for brand labels in my bathroom, and the labels on these towels stuck out like a sore thumb -- especially since the labels have a white background and I purchased dark (navy blue) towels. The branding is especially odd since these towels are sold by the same Columbia company that sells outdoor sportswear, and thus isn't a name that one would normally associate with bath towels.
