I have to say for the size of the Gupie I was expecting some half-A**ed poor aluminum or sheet metal tool. Instead I was surprised at how Columbia didn't cut any corners with their product. It is robust, the bits will not strip (maybe with incredible force but most screws strip at that point before this will), the wrench is extremely well done, and the blade is scary sharp. It would be months before I could find another tool that was of the same caliber for 20 bucks.

The only real reason I didn't rate a 5 is because I am in constant fear of loosing the detachable light/magnet/bit holder. You can flip it around, so you either are scratching your hand grabbing the bits, or in fear that the bit holder will pop off as it swings when you use the carabiner. To it's credit, it hasn't popped off yet and the light is very bright. This tool also single handedly took apart my brother's stereo and replaced it in the dark. I highly recommend this item, but note it is rather heavy (not cumbersome).

Excellent tool! Received it, very well boxed and good literature inside. Very well designed, light and small but still has lots of features and very utilitarian. Works exactly as described, wrench got a workout right away, worked excellent. Great to keep in an emergency kit, glovebox, bag or even carry every day. Knife is sharp and precise, as all CRKT products are. Definitely impressed, and glad to have!

Only caveat, small one mostly due to an OCD nature, is that the wrench doesn't stay tight in pocket when clipped. Not a big deal, thought I'd mention it for others like myself.

I bout this thing to use in my daily life when I needed it. I carry a regular knife for daily chores, but wanted this for other applications. When I bought it, I thought it looked cool, but soon came to realize how cheap this tool is made. Its a shame because CRKT makes decent knives, but after buying this, I will stick with a leatherman squirt on my keyring. The guppie had loose wrench and poor quality blade. The blade bent when I used it, has no lock either. The little screwdriver set was a joke that kept falling off of the tool. Great idea, but poor design and quality.

i am impressed with the guppie. it is a well built tool. i have used it several times at work. the light isn't the brightest, but it does the job. the clip and caribeener both work well. the bits are easily accessed and work well. the only thing that is annoying is that the pliers gradually open as the day goes by. they are a bit loose. it is a bit heavy for it's size, but it is easily carried in your pocket or attached to your person with the clip or caribeener. i would definitely recommend this tool.

Replaced my Swiss Army Tech Tool with this knife. Love the ability to hang from my belt loop, the flashlight is in a perfect location to light the screwdriver bit when in use, adjustable wrench is more handy than a pair of pliers, and the knife is very sharp and keeps an edge. My only issue is the bottle opener. It takes a bit of getting used to and is strong enough to chip the glass when used improperly.

Yes, indeed. Power to the mini tools, the get-it-done-when-nothing-else-is-around little gadgets and tools we Americans buy somewhat foolishly, but with good intent. Likewise, my buying this was a slightly foolish attempt, but a good one nonetheless, at becoming the get-it-done types that work day in, day out. And, low and behold, I helped my mother assemble with my black Guppie the moment it came out of the box, a small shoe storage unit. It is made of good quality steel, hence the slightly exorbitant price for such a small tool, and everything about it is FUNCTIONAL, not pretty, nor useless. It simply works, and works well. The only flaws are: the carabiner is not weight bearing suitable, the knife is carbon steel, so keep it oiled or it WILL rust, and using the screwdriver is sometimes difficult because the carabiner function is there to get in your way. But it is sturdy, and if you use it, it will serve you well. I personally, recommend it for everyone to own, because it combines multiple functions into the smallest size I have seen yet, multiple useful functions, I might add. Thank you to all the reviewers who put me onto this great product, it is well worth it to have a Guppie hanging from your belt at all times, except when around police, as the knife is also a weapon. Careful of that last one, everyone, and save up for this one, it is a beauteous tool.

I knew this things was small, but I must admit I was, by all means pleasantly, but ultimately still surprised how small it was. I got this as a groomsman gift, so I can't say too much about it's functionality or durability as this point, but what I can tell you that it was a bigger hit than I thought it would be considering the price. I was worried they'd think it was chintzy cheap, but it was a bit of a conversation piece after he opened it. The thorough instructions even explained how to use part of the adjustable wrench's mechanism to pop out the bits, which I was having trouble with it when I tried it myself when I first inspected it. Good gift item for sure. I hope it comes in handy and he continues to enjoy it for a long time.

I'm a theatre technician, so a multi tool is a must have. I generally carry a full size Leatherman-like multi-tool when I'm working on a production, but it's quite bulky. I found myself wishing I had something smaller that I could carry on a regular basis, that would still perform the most used functions of my full size multi tool. I just received my Guppie as a birthday present from my best friend and I'm already loving it. It's a small multi tool with the heart of a big one. It packs a lot of functions in its small package.

I was surprised to see just how strong and rugged it is. It's composed of thick stainless steel and boasts a sharp knife blade and a tough adjustable wrench. I really like the detachable bit hex bit set, which are always handy .And the bits magnetically attach to the end of the tool. I like that you have the option of removing the bit set, which does lighten the load quite a bit. It clips snug in my pocket and is easy to pull out at a moment's notice. I like that you can either clip it to a belt loop with the carabiner or clip it in your pocket. If you have the bit set attached, you can open the carabiner and it will stay open, allowing you to use the opening as a bottle opener. It's also quite neat that it has a small, but very bright led light built into the bit set. And the bits magnetically attach to the end of the tool It's surprising how much this Guppie can do.

I've worked with various types of tools in my field and have yet to find a multi tool this small that is so useful. The only issue I have found with this is that the hex bits fit really snug in in the bit set and can be hard to push out, but in the end its a good thing, as they are hard to lose. Overall, I highly recommend this product. This is definitely an instant where you can't let the size fool you.

Got it for a gift for friends the Ladies did like it thought it was cute gaget. And functional. The blade is functional. But will break easy if abused.
