4.0 out of 5 stars Well Made Knife, December 14, 2009
This review is from: Columbia River Knife and Tool's M16-14SF Big Dog Aluminum Tanto Blade Combo Edge Knife (Tools & Home Improvement)
A well made pocket knife. Have been carrying one for over a year and have limited complaints.

CONs - Full tang is bulky and has sharp edges. Overly complex to operate - closing the knife takes three fingers at the same time (release Autolawks, release liner lock, close blade). The holes in the frame collect moisture and lint.

PROs - Solid as a fixed blade when open. Hefty grip with full tang.

A big PRO - if you ever need parts, i.e. replacement screws for the pocket clip, you can order them CRKT's website.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best knives I've used, June 29, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Columbia River Knife and Tool's M16-14SF Big Dog Aluminum Tanto Blade Combo Edge Knife (Tools & Home Improvement)
Great knife due to a couple of features. First, CRKT's reputation is exceptional. The knife is light weight and fits my hand (larger) exceptionally well aside from being a good looking tool. The blade opens very easy and will not close unless both locking mechanisms are activated in the right sequence. Blade also has mini extensions top and bottom that keep your hand from accidentally sliding down the blade in stressful situations. Both extensions have small holes that could be used to lash the knife onto a stick to use as a spear. The clip is reversible or can be taken off if not wanted via 3 small screws. Blade is extrememly sharp. Being ex-military, this would make a great survival/military knife based on it's weight and features. Best price found was at Amazon. This is not for the feignt of heart or somebody looking for a wittling blade...more along the lines of self defense/hunting.

5.0 out of 5 stars A tank of a folder, October 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Columbia River Knife and Tool's M16-14SF Big Dog Aluminum Tanto Blade Combo Edge Knife (Tools & Home Improvement)
Wow, this knife it HUGE!!! I wasn't expecting it too be this large, but hey, it grew on me. This knife is also built like a tank. Very thick blade, almost feels like a fixed blade when open. Very smooth opening and closing action. Seems to be decently sharp out of the box. Serrations are well done as well. Recommended, just be sure you need a knife this big!
