There are alot of other tools available but when what you what is a solid pair of pliers, this one is great. The knife "flicks" out easily and locks in place. 1.0 out of 5 stars Garbage
I love the design, but it's so cheaply made I wouldn't buy it again for half the price. The screw driver heads are very small, and every thing else feels very cheap..

This review is from: Columbia River Knife And Tool 9065 Zilla Jr. Multitool With Black And Grey Scale and Assisted Opening Needle Nose Pliers, 2.25-inch Steel Blade, 5.25-inch Handle (Tools & Home Improvement)
There are alot of other tools available but when what you what is a solid pair of pliers, this one is great. The knife "flicks" out easily and locks in place. The serrations are usefull for heavier rope but they are not too aggressive. The big bonus feature is the 1/4 inch bit compatibility. Any two bits can be securely stowed on either side of the handle so damage to the screwdriver is of little consequence. The pliers are spring loaded (a good feature for me) and can be opened, used and closed with one hand. The grip is resin, round and comfortable.

Downside? It seems long and the grip can feel heavy when riding in a pocket. The clip is stylish and secure but I would have preferred it to be a bit longer.

4.0 out of 5 stars very functional with reservations, August 12, 2009
This review is from: Columbia River Knife And Tool 9065 Zilla Jr. Multitool With Black And Grey Scale and Assisted Opening Needle Nose Pliers, 2.25-inch Steel Blade, 5.25-inch Handle (Tools & Home Improvement)
good tool, performed pretty much as expected. the 3/8 inch universal bit holder is a GREAT idea creating an almost limitless potential for additional uses. the steeel used in the pliars is a tad soft and the wire cutter dinged on the first or second use and snags now cancelling the spring assist opening function and making the pliars actually diffficult to open. we found the tool a little heavy and bulky as a belt tool (might not bother some one else) so it moved to the tool box now relatively unused as it can't really compete with its single use boxmates.

5.0 out of 5 stars This tool performs as advertized!, March 22, 2009
This review is from: Columbia River Knife And Tool 9065 Zilla Jr. Multitool With Black And Grey Scale and Assisted Opening Needle Nose Pliers, 2.25-inch Steel Blade, 5.25-inch Handle (Tools & Home Improvement)
This tool performs as advertized! It carries two standard bits, which no other multi tool does. It has a cool flipper knife that opens fast as lightning and the spring loaded pliers are ready to rock at the flip of a button. The tool is built like a tank and near impossible to break due to is its one piece construction, unlike most multi tools which are multi piece units. The pocket carry clip makes it very nice to have ready to use at moments notice. This is not a delicate tool, just like the name says!!!

Over the years I have carried many multitools, and some are better than others. The main idea here is to have a tool that is small enough to carry with comfort, and has enough durability to get the job done. After working as a Millwright for 40 years I have always had a need for needle nose pliers,a sharp blade, and occasionally common and cross point screwdrivers. This tool is small, but has all those features. The bits are readily available, and with one hand you can access the spring loaded pliers, or the spring assisted knife. The knife blade is superior to most knife blades at this price, as are the screwdriver bits. Of the two sizes available, the Jr version seems adequate even for those bigger jobs.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good....., September 29, 2009
This review is from: Columbia River Knife And Tool 9065 Zilla Jr. Multitool With Black And Grey Scale and Assisted Opening Needle Nose Pliers, 2.25-inch Steel Blade, 5.25-inch Handle (Tools & Home Improvement)
Received my Zilla Jr tool the other day. So far have used it half a dozen times. I have used the screwdriver more than anything except for maybe the knife. I was really surprised when using the screwdriver, I really cranked on a piece at work and it didn't break. I like the access to the knife blade. Knife blade came sharp. I have only used the wire cutters once and will see if they dull like I've read one other account has. The JR. is definately the right size for carrying, I carry it in my pocket everyday so far since I have purchased it.

Simple:

If you use a knife like this the field to save carrying your tool box around or backpack, GET THIS LITTLE PUPPY.

Pros: Oustanding, get this one.

Cons: I did not get it sooner, I had a gerber (also outstanding, but different functions).
