Product Description

From the Manufacturer

The adjustable wrench jaw opens to 10 mm so you can use it for all kinds of light repair and assembly jobs. You can carry the Li'l Guppie on a belt loop, D-ring, pack or rope. (Remember, the cool carabineer is not designed to be weight-bearing.) It has a small high-carbon stainless steel blade with a Razor-Sharp edge. You can open and close it with one hand using the blade slot. At the Li'l Guppie's tail is a simple blade screwdriver tip that will handle many smaller-size screws in a pinch. The base of the jaw guide has a Phillips screwdriver which will fit smaller Phillips-head screws. A stainless steel pocket clip also makes a lightweight and compact money clip. The little curved fin is designed to be a hook that opens bottle caps and metal jar lids. Weighing only 1.9 ounces, the Li'l Guppie is a handy lightweight companion.

Product Description

Half multi-tool, half pocket knife, half evil robotic fish, the Lil Guppie Multi-Tool handles any job you throw its way. Despite the small size, this... um... thing includes an adjustable wrench, knife, screwdriver, four different hex bits, and even an LED light to help you find a deep sea snack or locate your car keys when you drop then near the trailhead. Whether you're a river guide, mechanic, or just happen to fix things a lot, this fishy should be in your pocket at all times.

I removed the money clip.

I don't actually use it because I bought it as a gift but it seemed very sturdy and like a finely crafted piece of art.

The Philips and Flathead screwdriver have come in handy a few times.

I used this tool for about a year or so as a key chain carabiner to clip to my belt loop.

It has a few flaws though...

1. The knife does not lock in place with any kind of mechanism that prevents it from closing if you apply a little force. I almost cut myself when breaking down cardboard boxes because the knife closed down towards my finger...this is when I decided to stop using this tool.

2. The bottle opener is rather hard to use. I think it had a slight design flaw where the little hook part does not extent far enough to get a good grip on the bottle cap. It can still be used, but it takes a little more effort than I would like.

3. The wrench portion of this tool is pretty much useless. I've never had a bolt that was small enough for me to use this tool. Also, it wobbles a lot and I wouldn't feel confident tightening anything if I even could in the first place.

Unless you're really dead set on getting this tool, I'd recommend against it. CRKT needs to rework this tool.

As a replacement, I purchased a Leatherman Skeletool CX. It's pretty much everything this tool should have been, but slightly bigger and heavier.

Received one of these as a gift and loved it so much I bought several as gifts this past Christmas. Mine has not left my office keys since I received it (obvious exception being the airport).

I just replaced my original grey Lil Guppy with its tactical black counterpart. The only reason the original needed to be replaced was because the hinge began to wear out after over 2 years of daily use. The only other downside is that the money clip tends to snag on things. While keeping my keys secured to belt loops, the Lil Guppy has also helped me in emergency situations such as opening beers.

I removed the money clip. It just got in the way. The blade is strong and sharp, perfect for opening packages or cutting string. I don't use the wrench much, but it's a good size at 10mm. The little Phillips head screwdriver is also really handy for electronics or small scale projects.

I work in an retail electronics store and often needed a small blade for either opening up plastic packaging for customers or when in the warehouse looking through boxes of items. Clips right on to my keys so I always have it with me. The Philips and Flathead screwdriver have come in handy a few times. Works great on small screws. Gives plenty of torque making it easy to tighten or loosen. The bottle opener is a nice addition but because of the size may require a couple passes sometimes to open a bottle.

I purchased it because.. well look at it! It's an adjustable wrench in your pocket. How cool is that!? And yet it hasn't spent any time in my pocket. It's been relegated to the small pile of curious things I leave on my desk for visitors to play with.

The problem is that its somewhat... well... mediocre. It's not a good adjustable wrench or screwdriver or knife; so why have it in your pocket?
If you really need to keep a small adjustable wrench in your pocket, what wrong with a Channellock 804N?

Very pricy for what it is, but it does work as marketed. Don't expect to tear down a car engine with it, but it will work in a pinch if your out at the firing range and you need a tool to fix your gun.

Besides the price, I would recommend to a friend.
