Sometimes Bigger Really Is Better. The Same Great Tool—Now Goes BIG. If you are a current fan of the original Eat'N Tool, designed by revolutionary designer Liong Mah, you may have been one of the many who were wishing for a slightly bigger version. And, here it is. The Eat'N Tool XL offers a larger spoon and longer handle surface to grab hold of. Use it as a spoon, or fork, to prepare and/or eat your favorite "on the trail" meal. Other handy tools include a box wrench, driver/pry tool, can opener and bottle opener. It also comes with a carabiner* to make carry simple and accessible. Available in bead blast grey or black powder coat finish. For the trail, camper or cabin, the Eat'N Tool XL makes eating easy and maybe even just a little bit fun.

I bought it as a sort of joke, but it is now in my 'uh-oh' bag in the truck. Long enough to get to the bottom of a can of beans, and light enough to not mind carrying it around,

I had purchased the smaller version of this tool earlier, but like this one for the longer reach, just right for reaching the bottom of a bean can! The can opener works fine, but beware the jagged edge left behind. Solid construction and feel. The spork end is fairly wide, much wider than the small version. Overall a solid purchase to round out the bug out bag.

This tool works rather well with the following minor exception...the tines on the fork could of been cut in deeper and the edges of the spoon near the front cut back a bit to allow the tines to penetrate into a man size hunk of meat. But this exception was not enough to keep me from ordering an additional one.

CRKT shipped it quickly, and the product was exactly as described.

I would have given more stars, but it isn't much of a spoon, doesn't hold much liquid at all.

It's too shallow, will be just as well to drink the soup from the pouch.

I got this primarily because my Light-My-Fire Super Spork has run it's course. The LMF spork is a twisted semi-flexible design that never fit well in my set-ups. This CRKT spork lays flat(er) but the dexterity is still off putting. There is no real way to hold this in a comfortable position and it flares out a little too much at the top where all the quasi-award winning tools are located. The LMF spork suffers the same unfriendly ergonomics minus the tools.

PROS: It has some weight to it and seems to be rigid enough to support the use of the "built in" tools. The bottle opener works as does the spoon. Overall finish is a 4 out of 5.

CONS: The fork tines are stubby so don't expect it to latch onto a hunk of meat.....a baby carrot will more like it. The wrench is a joke and so far the can opener needs to be tweeked in order to grip a can properly. DO NOT substitute this for a P38 or P56. You'll find yourself tossing the el-cheapo clip because it gets in the way.

Bottom line. It's simply OK. It will ride flat and right now it's sitting in my Maxpedition EDC pouch just fine which is why I decided to ditch the LMF and get this CRKT. I'll keep it but I won't buy another and probably won't recommend it.

I've used this tool for about a year now. It is perfect for outdoor use and eating freeze dried meals. Its also handy for when your in your car and you forgot to get plastic forks for takeout. Or, if you want to open a can of food and then eat it while using the same tool. The combination can opener and bottle opener allows me to get into the packaged food to eat with this tool.

This is not 5 stars because the forks are a bit dull, making it tough to stab into tough food and the handle takes some time to get used to. If I redesigned this I would get rid of the wrench on it and make the handle longer for a better grip. Overall a handy product.

I bought this to send to a friend in Afghanistan. It is very well made, & I think it'll come in very handy. I was actually surprised @ how well made it was.

I'm a CRKT fan; my original Crawford Kasper 6773 and replacement 6773Z is the best pocket knife I've ever had, no doubt. But unfortunately, this took is not quite what I'm after for hitting the trail.

It's sturdy, no doubt. It's easy to clean, and I like the clip so you can connect it to your mess kit or hang it on something else. I like the other tools, too.

But what I've just found after a week in the northern Manitoba wilderness is that the main feature of this tool, the spork, is not optimally suited to its purpose. The bowl is just too round; this makes it lack any "point," or more slender surface to get into the corners/edges of your mess kit to dig out the last of dinner, or to help clean it up to minimize KP and cleaning. Also, the bowl of the spork just isn't deep enough. It's not like I'm eating soup out in the woods, but a bit more concavity of the spork would increase its utility.

Bottom line: this is a highly durable tool, innovative, too. But the main purpose in my purchase was eating, and this tool isn't quite what I'm after. I didn't starve, but at the same time, the spork end of this item could use a bit of redesign.
