Nice tactical folder. Large blade, probably too large to pocket EDC. But for pack carry its perfect. So this knife will not replace my Leatherman or Spyderco dragonfly. But I will pack carry it and have on standby for when I need a larger blade. I basically wanted something in-between my USMC Ka-Bar and my fore-mentioned pocket EDCs, that I could pack carry easily. I think the CRKT cruiser delivers completely on that. With Baggy jeans or cargo shorts I can pocket EDC it, but its a but bulky and heavy for that. I am more of a noob when it comes to the technical side, so I wanted a softer steel than AUS-8, so I am hoping the AUS-6 will be easier for me to maintain and sharpen using basic sharpening tools. Mine is the 1/3 serrated blade. I am not so sure about serrations, I have never owned a serrated blade so the verdict is still out on that one. I fell in love with the Zytel handle in the store. Great ergonomics, and feel in the hand. Aggressive golf-ball texture that aids in tactile feel even when cold or wet. The Tom Hammond design handle is faceted enough to allow choke down grip positions, to aid in hacking and increased inertia swinging. The handle design is what really attracted me to this model. Great thick-paddle type pocket clip. It can be positioned at any of the 4 corners of the handle for right/left/blade up/blade down positions. The knife can be fully dis-assembled. Everything is held together with Torx star bits. The LAWK system is really nice too. I think its an added layer of security. Not quite a full-tang fixed blade... but its a step up from a traditional liner lock folder. Deployment is FAST too. Ambidextrous thumb studs are nice and gripy, without tearing into the skin. Alternately it can be flip opened with the finger guard. Overall I am happy with my purchase.... now time to invest in some sharpening tools.

I use this knife as an everyday beater around the house, inside and out. It is cheap enough that I am not afraid to use it hard for fear of damaging or scratching one of my "pretty" or expensive knives. That being said, the price is about the only thing cheap on this knife. It is well constructed, hinges and liner lock solid. This is not a small knife. The handles are thick and textured for a good feel / grip in the hand, but you definately know there is a knife in your pocket. Blade steel is adequate, holding and taking an edge well. The "flipper" on the back of the blade works so well that there is no need for any mechanical assistance, or the thumb stud for that matter. The only issue I've had with this knife is that the liner was hard to push to the side to close the blade after being "snapped" open agressively. This went away after use / break-in. 4 stars only because there are better knives out there, but for the money I give it 5 stars.

I love knives and have a couple dozen of them. Kershaw, Gerber, SOG, Buck, and this is my all time favorite knife. I liked it so much that I purchased two! I prefer large folding knives and I do carry this as an EDC knife. Besides the size, the thing I like most about the knife is the handle. It has a great feel and this knife is not going to slip out of your hand! I really like the flipper design. It works really well. I also have numerous assisted opening knives which are really cool and fast. However AO springs and parts are just more things to break and wear out. A good manual opening knife is going to be more reliable in the long run. I also like the lock which prevents the liner-lock from slipping back out under pressure. In summary, this is a really nice quality, heavy-duty knife. Probably the best knife you will ever get for so little money. I would have easily paid double for this knife, and I would have been delighted if the knife was actually made in the USA instead of China. Which was my only complaint.
