I expected this to be a good knife, but it's simply awesome! It feels powerful every time I press the thumb stud with my pointer finger and a gentle flick of the wrist and it clicks into place. Robust design comes with a very sharp blade, and i enjoy the security of the safety feature to prevent accidental closure, and it still closes up just as fast as any other folder. Also pleased with the smaller sized black I purchased, and i may buy another one of these some day.

This is one of the few models of liner lock knives that doesn't have a blacked-out, menacing "tactical" look that seems to be all the rage these days. Instead, it sports a nicely-polished, partially-serrated blade made out of quality 1040 stainless steel that folds into a very un-weaponlike, bright orange Zytel handle that is durable, lightweight, and easy to grip. The usual CRKT features are here also, those being the Carson flipper, which allows extremely rapid one-handed opening; the Auto-LAWKS feature, intended to prevent accidental blade closure, and not insignificantly, the hefty thumb studs on the blade. These features make this one of the most ergonomic and usable single blades you can get, which explains the considerable popularity of CKRT folding knives among service personnel. They're like the Glock of knives--foolproof, rugged, and largely made of plastic.
If there is one downside to this knife, it is its size, which is pushing the limits of practicality for pocket carry.

I first got this knife while in the Marines, I used for everything from field ops to hunting, it never failed me. I finally had to buy a new one and I still love it. The Carson flipper is great for opening the knife quickly and one handed. The one major difference from the older version I had is that the little switch which locks the blade in place when open now automatically engages itself. This knife is a great everyday carry that I don't notice at all anymore.
