Good ventilation,

This would be a good hiking boots for summer. It has a lot of pores for sweat evaporation and ventilation. Meanwhile, it supports the heel and has good grip traction. I recommend it. Except, it doesn't come in Size 14 Wide and does not come in the Cordovan color in Size 14. I tried the 13 but it was too small because I have width. If you have wide feet, get 1 or two size larger. Same size in Medium is too restrictive for hiking purpose.

I had a different pair of Columbia hiking boots before, The soles were too stiff and the size was a little smaller like everyone said. Now, I bought this pair with 1/2 size bigger in anticipate Columbia's size variation and it turned out 1/2 size too big for me. Columbia has serious in making the size correctly. I have bought numerous pairs of Reebok cross trainer or tennis shoes and never once had a size problem The other thing is that this time the soles are too soft for the trail walking particularly over rocks. I am not sure I would ever buy any Columbia boots again
