I did significant research before deciding on these shoes, and have been very happy with them. I was looking for a rugged, yet light and breathable hiking shoe for my trip to Belize and Guatemala. This definitely worked out. We did about 25 miles of hiking on our trip and my feet stayed comfortable the whole time. I also hiked a few trails back home that I had previously hike in sneakers and the extra traction was very noticeable. I went with the stout squash color, which I think looks better if I want to wear them with jeans for a casual night out.

Got these for a trip to the alps in southern France. Spent 2 weeks straight hiking up to glaciers with an average of hiking 4-5hrs per day in all sorts of terrain. Mostly jagged rocks. These shoes and a good thick pair of socks saved my feet and kept me comfortable. The rough front tip of the shoes took a ton of bangs and no breach of the shoe material. I was very pleased, highly recommend these shoes for a good bang for the buck hiking shoe. Going to be buying my wife a pair, hope to have the same luck with Columbia's women hiking shoes.

Amazon's sizing chart is correct, the shoe fit perfectly and the order arrived in a timely manner. I'm very pleased with this shoe (lightweight, fits snug, heal support) and would recommend it to active walkers, it is a very comfortable shoe. Thanks Amazon

The shoes are some of the best fitting and wearing shoes I have ever purchased. I knew exactly what size to order as I have bought several pair of this brand and style in the past. I will definitely order others of this kind. I did have to pay shipping but since there was no tax I feel they were still a good buy.

This was my first pair of Columbia shoes. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they fit. These Firelanes have a very roomy toe box for a medium width shoe and descent about of sole flex after a few weeks of wear. The design is radically stylish enough to get a little attention.

As a Timberland shoe wearer for years, I'm glad to see there are other options that are just as good or better. Columbia also has more large shoe size models for those of us wearing larger than 13.

I just received these shoes a few days ago, and they have been great! They are very comfortable, which is something I am very picky about. They also seem to have excellent traction on loose surfaces. My only concern is that the suede material on the outside of the shoes does not seem like it would be very durable in rocky hiking situations. I am anxious for the weekend to arrive so I can try these puppies out up in the mountains. So far, I am very satisfied!
