I bought these boots to replace a similar pair of Columbia's that are starting to wear out. I used them immediately on a long hike and found them very comfortable. I have foot problems and require a large size, so my choices are limited. I am a fan of Columbia's boots and will continue to buy them.

I bought these shoes based on style and weight for a "Rim to Rim" hike of the Grand Canyon. They were very light and gave my feet great support throughout the 25 miles down and up. I had to get the sz 16 because the 15s were a little snug so I had a little room. I wore a good, thick wigwam hiking sock and after the first 1.5 miles I added "footie socks" underneath. My feet were great. They were the only part of my body that wasn't sore after the hike. I highly recommend these shoes. They were comfy and supportive on rocks and uneven terrain. Also rub some vasiline on your toes before a hike like this.
