i took these boots fresh out of the box and hiked 30 miles with a fifty pound pack in the adirondacks and they held up great. our hike in was sunny and 65 degrees and my feet were bone dry when i got to camp 11 miles into the high peaks region. we hiked threw streams and in the highrer elevations there was 3 ft of snow and after 3 miles and 4 hours of snow hiking after hot sunny weather my feet should have been wet from something but no. the only thing i can think of thats kind of negative but not really is the sole is made of a running shoe type of material which is super light weight and great on the bottom of the sole but the side i did take a small stick right through the side of the boot at the sole and it drew blood but if your careful this shouldnt be a problem and i would take that over 3 lbs boots anyday!!

I like these boots because they are much easier to lace up than my old pair. My old boot laces would fall off the eyelets over and over and would take minutes to put on. These are easy on and off. Also very warm. They are a bit narrow though. Not for the wide footed.

I really was looking forward to these boots, and was quickly disappointed. The waterproofing and style was exactly what I was needing, but one of the lace eyelets snapped after only the third wear. They were still wearable, but after paying over $100, I wanted them to last longer than that, so i returned them. Also, they caused some discomfort to one of my Achilles tendon areas, which could be just a "me" problem. I ended up reordering a mid-size boot.

These are the best boots that I have ever worn. I am an insulin dependent diabetic plus have had two major back surgeries and am partially disabled. With these extremely light supportive boots I can walk and with their comfort level they can be worn all day. The only downside is that they are being discontinued so I ordered another pair.
