Am not really an outdoorsy type and live in the desert but got this for a trip to New Mexico in winter. Pros: it's warm, understated, waterproof and it's light and easy to move around in. Cons: not many pockets and to be really picky the black has a grey stripe on the shoulder you cant see in main image. If you live in a consistently cold winter climate you might want something thicker with more features (ie pockets).

This coat was a Christmas gift for my boyfriend last year. Not only was he totally surprised with the gift, he was surprised at how warm it kept him compared to his other coat. We are from an area where it is winter for about 5 months of the year so he got a lot of use out if! Highly recommended! Great durability!
