This jacket is the best I've ever bought. It is a 3-in-1, and the inner jacket is amazing just by itself. It's not fleece, but it definitely keeps me warm on a chilly day. If you need rain protection, the outer jacket is perfect, and if it's freezing rain, zip them together and you've got an amazing product!

I love this thing. I was skeptical about the liner because it's not fleece... Wow, my skepticism was unfounded and unnecessary. The liner actually retains warmth far better than fleece. The liner is weatherproof just like the shell. Put the two together and you've got a product that will keep you toasty warm in the coldest New England winter, even in 40 MPH winds. The only thing that bums me out is that Amazon is now selling it for $100 less that I paid for it :-(

I guess that I can live with that, but I do feel a bit taken advantage of... What the heck was Amazon's profit margin on this thing when they sold it to me??? I guess I need to be more careful about the timing of my purchases in the future.

This Rocketsports Parka is replacing my Columbia Bugaboo Jacket that I've worn for several winters. I really liked the Bugaboo except for the fact that the fleece liner jacket easily collected dog hair (we have two yellow labs), and I didn't like to wear the liner on its own for that reason. The Rocketsports Parka is great, since the liner jacket is not fleece. I have worn the liner alone several times, and I love the look and comfort, and it doesn't collect the dog hair!

I wore both pieces of the Rocketsports Parka two weeks ago while we were skiing at Stowe, VT and stayed nice and warm and dry. I wore the outer layer for cross country skiing and it did a great job of keeping me warm without overheating me.

Overall, I love the Rocketsports Parka by Columbia. I would get one again and would recommend it to anyone needing a versatile jacket for cool to very cold weather activities.
