This is a great boot. I just bought them and they felt like they had many miles on them as soon as I put them on out of the box. This boot has great support around the ankles but its still soft and comfortable to prevent any pressure points or chafing. I'm happy with the build quality as well, it's definitely top notch and for the price (although i've seen it cheaper elsewhere) you get a ton for your money. Highly recommended.

It's been a long time since I bought a pair of hiking boots but here in Alaska it's that time of the year. I wore them to work to break them in before waking any distance in the bush. Wearing then every other day for a month and they were ready to go. They have very good support around the ankle and are water proof. I'm glad I bought them and will let you know this spring how they worked out.

Waterproof, comfortable, and light.
I'm a size 14N, so I had to add inserts. I use these as work boots, so I'm in them all day.
These are well made boots.

I bought these boots online from amazon fully intending to return them. I wear a size 14 wide and often have a hard time finding shoes that fit. I couldnt believe it when i put them on and not only did they fit, they actually felt really good right out of the box. I have had them for a few weeks now and am extremely impressed with them! I have pretty much torture tested them trying to find something wrong with them and NOTHING! I stuck my feet in a big tub of water to see how long it would take for water to get in and only after squishing my feet and deliberately spongeing the tongue did water get in. A sock change and they dried quickly. Water can and will spill in over the tops though. Since then i have tromped all over streams, mud and boulders and they feel better every time.

This is the 2nd pair of these boots that I've ordered. First pair had the shoelace hooks break off and I returned them. This pair is doing the same thing. Love the fit of the boot and I CANNOT believe that Columbia cannot make a shoelace hook that will last. These are very brittle and it doesn't take much to break one. Really disappointing from a company like this.

It's good quality hiking boots. I used several before, but, size didn't fit using different brand that was less pricey than this product. It's good for several hours of hiking in Mount Baldy, Ice Canyon, and etc. My feet blisters and with this shoes, the sweat seem to evaporates fast.

I have used these boots once so far since June of 2009 and they are very comfortable and easy to wear. I haven't put them to the full test yet but I am a novice hiker. I have had surgery on one foot and it wasn't at all uncomfortable.
I do notice there is a lot to this boot but one feature is the lacing eyelets that can be somewhat awkward of you haven't used them before. The heel to toe action is good but could be better if the heel were wider than the achilles part of the boot.
