This jacket is so well made and it was just what I was looking for.

I ordered extra large based on my other Columbia jackets, this one fits a little snug for the size stated.

I can zip it up but it's form fitting with just a t-shirt underneath.

It's difficult to rate this jacket because I've now returned mine twice. The first time because it was too tight across the hips. I like to think that is a manufacturer defect and nothing to do with my epic consumption of coconut cake during the past month. Shut up, it was my birthday.

The second time I returned the jacket because the zipper simply will not function. I have no idea what is wrong with the zipper, it looks fine, sewn perfectly, it simply won't pull up, not even an inch. (It fits, honestly. I'm done with the coconut cake until next year.) It's a beautiful rain jacket, nicely fitted and not bulky, very streamlined and neat. You know how tough it is to find a functional jacket that also looks good? It's a win for that alone.

Beautiful jacket!! I just received it in the mail today. It's perfectly light weight and feels great on. I haven't worn it out yet, so I'll report back on its performance when I do.

I do want to say if you are petite (I am 5'4" and 125lbs), do NOT order a size up. All the reviews I read said it was tight, and I totally disagree. I ordered my usual size (small) and it's a great fit, even a little roomy and I probably could have gone with the X-small. I will say that the sleeves are a tad too long and the jacket length is VERY long, just past my finger tips. If you want a jacket that will cover your whole bum, this is it.

Lastly, the color is fantastic. It's exactly like it looks in the picture - a bright corral. :)

Enjoy!

It does run small (slim). I wear a 6 top and due to the reviews, I got a Medium. I can zip it up but it's form fitting with just a t-shirt underneath. I will think about getting a Large to be able to wear a sweater underneath, but I'm afraid the arms will be really long. I could use the extra room in the shoulders, bust and hips. I am 5 ft 6 in 135 lbs 36C bust, 27 in waist, 38 in hips. Even if lose the extra 5-10 pounds it would be too small.

The jacket is good quality and the color is pretty but I would recommend ordering at least one size up. I ordered the x-large which usually fits big and loose in all brands so I could wear it over layers. No go with this one. Tried it on with a t-shirt and it fit snug when zipped. I'm 5'4 and weigh 150 if this helps with size chart.

It looks nice and feels good on. Now I just need to lose some weight so that it fits better in the middle. I ordered extra large based on my other Columbia jackets, this one fits a little snug for the size stated. But I am not going to send it back. I really like it.

This jacket is just what I wanted: nice color, long enough to cover bum, and light weight, also made well. The large fit well in the shoulders, back and chest, as well as sleeve length but was snugger across the hips than I would like if wearing a fleece vest or lightweight pullover so I returned it and ordered the X-large which fits better, except the sleeves are long and will have to be rolled up; that is ok.

I wore this to a 4:05 PM baseball game today and was comfortable the entire time. It rained all afternoon, enough for a rain delay of over an hour, followed by a light drizzle through the first two innings. The temperature ranged from 68 to 77 degrees. I wore jeans and a short sleeved lightweight t-shirt with a thin sweater. I ditched the sweater as the temperature warmed. The jacket worked perfectly. It kept me dry and did not stick to my skin. It also kept me at a comfortable temperature and did not cause me to overheat.
I ordered a medium size which was just right for me. I'm 5'2", 148 lbs, 38-32-40, the fit was like a tailored shirt over my clothes; just right but not tight. There was enough room to allow freedom of movement even with a thin or medium weight sweater. As I turned at the waist, the jacket turned across my hips without catching. I was also able to move my arms freely in all directions.
I ordered it in Red Hibiscus. It is a beautiful reddish orange or coral color. The picture seems to be tinged with a little more pink than the actual jacket.
The zipper was difficult to get started but zipped freely once it started moving. It was also easier to zip the second and third times. The two side pockets are each about 9.5"h x 6"w. There is an interior breast pocket that measures 7.5"h x 6"w. The fabric makes a soft crinkle sound but is not noisy like my daughter's name brand jacket made from HyVent material. The lining is made of a thin nylon throughout all but the upper back which is made of a mesh material. The hood can be adjusted by a Velcro tab in the back center and drawstrings around the front.
Last of all, it was packable, with careful folding, into a 1 quart zippered storage bag like those purchased for airline travel (not the food storage bags since their opening is too small).

Armholes are only 8 inches across... way too small to allow for layering of any kind! I compared the width of this coat's armholes to a Pacific Trail coat I wear comfortably and the armholes were 2.5 inches narrower, measuring across at the seam (that's 5 inches of fabric smaller!) I bought this to take to Europe, hiking in spring weather -- Hoping to layer under with fleece. I found this coat uncomfortable even with a cotton knit shirt! Not made for movement of any kind, unless you are a stick figure. I have a bust and normal arms.
