I love these shirts, I garden in the desert and the newer "polyester" style of "cool" shirts really aren't good for thorns on rosebushes, mesquite trees etc. It's getting harder to find cotton shirts that are just that, cotton, without chemicals added for bugs, antimicrobial etc. I really hate these outdoor companies using nasty chemicals that stay in your clothes. The pockets are wonderful, easy to tuck irrigation emmitters/connectors in, the shirt is also shaped to flatter instead of just being a large box style, they also wear tough, I am rough on these shirts and they've lasted years,I've just now replaced shirts that lasted pretty tough working conditions for 3 or so years. Love the colors too!

I am very pleased with this shirt. It is very well made, flattering, and has roughly ten thousand pockets. What more could you want from a work/play shirt? The colors are inviting, the fit is very good (runs a hair large, so size up one) and you will never lose anything again because it has roughly ten thousand pockets. This shirt is built to last. As one who makes clothes from time to time (century to century, more like), I know good clothing construction - and this shirt will hold up very well. Which is good, because it has roughly ten thousand pockets.
I plan to buy one of several colors of this shirt, that's how much I like it.

P.S. Did I mention the pockets?

A very nice shirt for girlfriend. Matches mine for our trip to South Africa. Good fit and cool and comfortable. Ordered x-large women's for her rather than small men's which was unavailable. Bear in mind these are smaller than standard, so order the next size up. Happy with style and overall quality. Like poplin cotton over newer nylon although ironing is probably necessary for wearing in casual setting.

I love the shirt, but the size is a bit on the small side. But, now I will know to go a size larger next time I order.

The shirt is a heavy cotton that will be like an old friend after 100 or so washings. For now, it must be ironed to look decent, and it is a bit of a pig to iron.I am petite 5' and 84 lbs) so of course the torso is too long, but that is my fault, not the shirt.Shoulders and chest fit fine, sleeves rolled up anyway. I would have liked buttons or velcro dots on the points of the collar, they did not scrimp in the velcro anywhere else on the shirt. The collar splays out like the mod look of the sixties, but hey it is a fishing shirt, and the high collar does when unfurled keep the sun off my neck.
Just sewed some snaps on the collar points and the shirt looks much better.

This shirt is fine but is not the nice dryfit type of materials, but a cotton heavy fabric.
I have bought better Columbian shirts in the store where I could touch the fabric in person and check the shirt material.

This shirt was a bit brighter than something I would normally wear (I bought the bright pink) but it fit well and it washed well and air dried fairly quickly. My only complaint is that the chest pockets aren't even so it makes the girls look a little uneven. I was on the road and wearing a vest most of the time so I didn't let it bother me but I won't buy another one.

The fabric is good quality. The vents help you stay cool. The sleves roll up can be buttoned up. I have large arms and the sleves are a little snugger than I would like, but I can't even get my arms in many shirts.

I'm particularly fond of Columbia clothing (sundresses made with performance fabrics? yes, please!), and needed something to help protect my pale skin while fishing, kayaking, etc. This shirt absolutely did the trick. I was concerned it would be too warm to wear river fishing in 84 degree sun, but it kept me cool and kept me from burning. It was actually more comfortable to cover my arms with the sleeves (to keep the sun off) than it was to roll them up. Stuck my arms in the water a few times and soaked the sleeves a bit; they weren't clingy/uncomfortable while they were wet, and dried quickly. I did size up, as I'm busty and prefer a loose fit. My only complaint is that the khaki, which I purchased because it's so light and more likely to match my other fishing clothes, washed me out a bit; I would choose one of the brighter shirts were I to purchase another.

This is my first purchase of a sun-protective garment. It's great to wear over a sleeveless or short sleeved tee on cool or windy days in warm seasons or climates, and fine by itself. I bought a small and it fits very well. The flexibility of long sleeves or short tabbed sleeves extends its usefulness. There's even a flip up neck protector in the collar. Lovely blue, and flattering.
