5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Jacket
I purchased this jacket with the intention of using it in tropical rain storms. It is perfect for this purpose. While it does not provide much warmth it is perfect for keeping out wind and rain! I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a wind or rain jacket.

3.0 out of 5 stars It has a nice look, but is too thin.
This jacket fits great, and looks great, but is just a bit too thin. I love the raspberry jam color! I would like the jacket better if it was completely lined. This jacket fits great, and looks great, but is just a bit too thin. I love the raspberry jam color! I would like the jacket better if it was completely lined. It will keep me dry, and prevent the wind from coming through, but will not add warmth. It is also noisy and the nylon makes a swooshing sound when my arms rub the body of the jacket. It was almost worth the price I paid. If I had paid more, I would have been really disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Columbia Rain Jacket, June 21, 2007

Good jacket, serves its purpose. Like one reviewer said, the jacket is very thin and also somewhat see-through in the lemon whip color. Note that the lemon whip color does not have the white side panels and collar as pictured; this color is lemon whip/swiss. True to size, if not on the small side.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rain...Rain...Go Away!, February 16, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you are looking for a jacket to keep you warm, this is not the jacket. If you are looking for a nice looking jacket to ward off wind and rain, then this is your jacket. I chose the green one for spring and am delighted with it. The green is less intense in person and I am very pleased with the item.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Windbreaker ever, March 27, 2008
I received this windbreaker not too long ago, and it's fabulous. The geranium color is beautiful, and it's the perfect weight. It's great for wind and light showers. When I'm not wearing it, I can scrunch it up in a tight little roll, and stuff it down in my handbag. When I need it again, I can pull it out, and it's none worse for the wear. Thanks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great lightweight rain jacket, August 23, 2009

I bought this jacket for a trip to Scotland, as I knew it would be rainy off and on. It's very lightweight, no inner lining, though it worked great over a hooded fleece. The zip-away hood is nice too. It packed up very tightly for storage in my suitcase, and I could stuff it into my bag on the days it wasn't raining. I would definitely recommend for travel use. The color is a little brighter than the image - almost a bright salmon. The photo looks like a muted brick, which it's not. It also has zip-close pockets, which are great.

The jacket is comfortable and a great rain jacket. It's a little stiff and noisy when I move. I'm hoping it softens a bit with use.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing for active use, August 3, 2009

I've had this for over a year now. I bought it looking for wind protection and am very disappointed with the breathability of this product. It traps moisture inside and I end up with a visibly damp shirt and have to turn the jacket inside out to dry. That's what happens in dry weather. The fit is comfortable and it's otherwise conveniently designed. The fabric in white is quite see-through. Later I purchased Turfer's "Womens's Light Weight Endurance Jacket" for $14.95 and that's been the perfect windbreaker. It's now up to $19.95 and I'm ordering another color.

This was a good cheap deal for a Columbia jacket, however the jacket itself is very thin material and pretty much only good if you're looking for something waterproof either in the summer or with some warm humid rains.

4.0 out of 5 stars lining wasn't what I had hoped for, March 25, 2008
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ordered this windbreaker because it was on sale and I thought it had a different type of lining. I had a windbreaker from the early 90's that was lined and I loved it, but it is now ripped. I hoped this would be a good replacement. It is well made and looks fine, it just wasn't quite what I thought it would be. It is definitely a good value for what I paid for it, but I would not have purchased it if it hadn't been on sale. The sizes are a little on the small side.
