Despite the product description of 'waterproof' and its 'Omni-heat and Omni-tech' features, the shell absorbs melting snow and in turn passes that chill down to my fingers. Not suitable for long days on the slopes.

These provided zero warmth and were returned after trying them once ice fishing. Cotton work gloves are warmer.
Suggest not purchasing.

Wow, these gloves are so worth their price. They fit comfortably, they are sized correctly (a medium is actually medium) and they are warm! The lightweight feel while providing great warmth is clasically Columbia product-like. I am pleased and only wish I got them earlier in the winter. I am ready for next year's snow!

Great gloves for skiing, sled riding etc., Hands stay warm with Columbia's new foil type lining and these gloves are not bulky at all. Item is exactly as described, excellent quality, and promptly shipped.

Absolutely love these gloves. My daughters have borrowed them whenever they have to shovel. So glad I was able to get them on an open box deal

If you know that you prefer gloves, then these are great gloves. They're probably about as warm as gloves can get, they're easy to tighten, and they're soft on the inside. That said, I realized on my first day on the slopes that I should have gotten mittens. I couldn't feel any of my fingers after just a few hours, and my hands didn't even get wet from snow. I stopped at the shop halfway down the mountain, bought some combo mittens/gloves that were recommended by the salesperson, and was MUCH happier for the rest of the skip trip. If you're less sensitive to cold than I am, then go for it--great gloves. But if you're about to head out on your first ski trip, especially if it's in a colder area than you're used to, consider mittens or convertible mitten/gloves, which are much warmer!
