I am not a professional carpenter / restorer / woodworker and I hate to spend a lot of money on something I only use occassionally. When I saw this set of clamps for $20, I was suspicious. That is about the amount I have paid for a single clamp in the past.

There are four of each kind of clamp:
2 tiny and 2 small scissor spring clamps. Not especially useful, but they are strong and have pivoting contact points.
2 small and 2 medium "C" clamps - these work great - easily manuverable, don't slip.
4 medium sliding bar clamps. These are 2 pairs of only slightly different lengths. They work fine, but are too short for many jobs.

Overall, a good deal, but of limited range. If most of the stuff you work on is fairly small, this might be acceptable, but if you are repair table legs or shelves, you will definately need to acquire longer clamps. If you want this set as extra clamps or just to have them around "in case," go for it. You can't beat the price.

I recently purchased this clamp set, and for the money, you get a pretty good starter collection of clamps. Quality wise, I was fairly impressed. The metal clamps are powder coated and feel substantial. The plastic clamps have strong springs and very good gripping power. Each clamp has a protective shoe on it to prevent marring of wood projects and the bar clamps have a decent wood handle for tightening down. Overall, this set is quite a bargain and a good place to get your collection started from. If you are a professional woodworker or more than just a weekend warrior, you'll probably want to spend a bit more and get a good set of Bessey's.

On the theory that you can never have too many clamps, I recommend this package deal. The clamps are decent; the package/price < $20 that motivated my writing this is an excellent price point.

If you are fussy about all the details of your clamps, perhaps this deal is not for you. If you "USE" your clamps, it is a hard to beat deal.

The problem with these clamps is that the plastic grip clamps break off at the tip with the holding pad of the the 4 clamps in the set 2 have broken both in the first week of use the metals are just fine.

These clamps are perfect for small projects, but don't expect them to perform like heavy duty ones of the same size. You cannot put alot of torque on these bar clamps without distorting the clamp and thus moving the workpieces that are being glued. But for glue jobs that only need light to moderate torque you can't beat the value. In fact I purchased a second set after trying out the first, and I do a lot of gluing. The spring clamps and C clamps are also of excellent value and work very well.

I am usually the sort of person who wants to go and see a product in person before making a purchase online. I bought 2 of these clamp sets without ever having seen them before. I found the online reviews to be so helpful that I placed my order within an hour from my original search for bar clamps.

This set has several different sizes and types of clamps. The spring clamps are pretty useful when you just want to keep something from shifting around on your work bench or other light clamping jobs. I don't use the C-clamps that much at all but I am glad I have them! You never know when you will need one.

The protective rubber pads on the clamps do have a tendency to fall off when you don't want them to, but you could always glue them on.

I don't know how they sell these for so cheap, but I am glad they do! You will want more clamps than this, so go ahead and buy two of these and some other sizes.

You can't beat the price this clamp set offers. I would have paid what I did just for the C-clamps and bar clamps.

A woodworker can't have too many clamps. This set added some of the most used sizes to my collection at a bargain price.

while I have purchased many clamps over the years, including most of what is in this set, one always seems to need another one. This is a well made set for the home repairer or hobbyist and I couldn't go wrong on the price with free shipping on my whole order.

Good basic set of clamps, always can use more. I thought this was a great deal but I found the same exact set at Lowe's for ~22 dollars. I still saved a little and I did buy 2 sets. Like I said if you need clamps its still a good value.
