This "Columbian" clamp-on bench vise, Model 33150 150, Does NOT open to 6 inches, despite claiming so in the product name! It only opens to 2 1/2 inches, far short of the title. Yes, I should have read the fine print under technical details, but skipped past, thinking it said it all in the title. Major disappointment, as I cannot use it for what I purchased it for. In fact, I have almost no use for it at all. On top of that, it itself is a very poor example of a vise. The inside faces of the vise jaws are smooth or slick, and slightly bumpy, with almost a galvanized surface, somewhat like a poor enamel job, and do not meet flush with each other so items tend to get "squeezed" out the bottom.

There may also be some confusion as to the actual manufacturer of this bench vise, but it has "WILTON" across the front of the vise. I also notice, as I write this review, that one of the possible tags that amazon suggests is "Wilton 63302", So perhaps this is manufacturer obfuscation, not confusion.

All in all, I most definitely would NOT purchase this even again, and would NOT recommend that anyone else ever purchase this.
