I bought the spread thinking it was a vintage design chenille bedspread. It turned out to be an Indian design, which is nice but it doesn't add to my traditioal style home. Also, I washed it, according to directions, and the color has faded dramatically and the stitching is very poor. I don't expect it to last beyond a couple more washings. I will say the spread was a very nice color when it arrived and it fits nicely on the bed. No complaints about size, shape.

This bedspread was not what I expected. It was more like a sheet with fluff sewed into it.
Although the shipping was quick and well boxed.

I was looking for a pale blue Chenille bedspread in twin for a child's room.Interestingly enough, it was the negative reviews I found most helpful in deciding to purchase this item. First, I like stuff made in India,the cotton is super soft and the design is appealing, and secondly, I was looking for a "sheet-like" Chenille spread for the summer. The color is serene, the effect is cottage-like, and it is quite beautiful on the bed. Regarding one rviewer's comment about too much lint, I like to buy natural materials so am used to the lint factor,it is most at the first wash/dry and to be expected.

I read reviews here and on many other sites before purchase, so I knew what I was getting into with this bedspread. Unfortunately I have 4 dogs who make themselves at home on my bed...so luxury bedding is pointless. But it was time for a bedspread replacement and the vintage 'could have been Grandma's house' appealed to me. First, it DOES shed. It is chenille. Chenille sheds like water is wet. However, the shedding happens in your dryer's lint catcher. It does NOT shed ON you. And I wear black daily. The pros for me are the generous measurements (fits my high profile king size nicely) and the weight. It is light! If you sweat through TX summers like I do, you need something breathable and light and not all stiff or scratchy. This is not an appropriate cold weather bedspread because as another reviewer stated, it is essentially a sheet with machine stiched chenille tufting. I do not believe this will hold up through multiple seasons becuase the chenille is already unraveling and has that instant worn-in look. Which, depending on the look you are after, is a good or bad thing. Nothing will replace grandma's handstitched bedding, but this is an economical facsimile. It would looked so much more expensive had they lightly contrasted the color of the pattern instead of having it identical to the background. But because this will be tossed in my machine on a weekly basis, I just needed a king size covering that was actually cut to fit a king sized bed....which is no easy feat with the recent trend of miserly duvet covers. The dogs approve too! But that's because they enjoy chewing on the twisty rope trim--which, btw, cheapens the spread considerably--that borders on 3 sides. Skip it if it's to show off in a nice guestroom; to get through a hot summer, eh, why not?

I ordered this bedspread for my daughter's room and we love it !
It's soft with a nice design. Overall a great product !

I have a bed that sits high up. the skirt of the bedspread was too short. Otherwise the product itself was very good.

The bedspread is exactly like the vintage ones at Grandma's house. It is very thin, which is what I wanted for summer. The color is very nice, just like in the picture (sage). It's perfect. The shams are great too.
