This book was made in the 70's. My copy is hardbound with a dark green outer covering. The book was published before polymer pistols like Glocks were made. The book is bound by strings. My book is in good condition, with no pages missing. There are some good bits of knowledge to be had on this "old school" book. The book was written with heavy influences from the San Diego Police department.

The book covers the physiology and psychology of a person who is in a gunfight. It also has a great ballistics chapter backed by proven physics. It is very detailed, very informative, and the subject matter is well documented with an impressive bibliography. I admit that some of the pistol shooting techniques are outdated, but it is still a very good book. I would not use some of the shooting techniques depicted on this book(shooting from the hip, literally).

I recommend this book to all who are interested in pistol shooting.
