"couldn't function without it", February 2, 2005
This review is from: Combi City Savvy Claret (Baby Product)
I bought the stroller when my daughter was just over three months old. I have a 6 year old, and a Peg Perego Venezia stroller and needed somthing a little easier to handle on quick trips. My husband saw no justification in spending more than $40.00 on another stroller.( I had recently purchased a snap'n' go..:))
I'm the one full time with the kids and that was enough justification for me. I bought the stroller and he was amazed at all the features. The adjustible recline is a must have if your baby is struggling to sit up like mine. She's four months now and the 5-point harness allows her to sit fully upright w/out falling forward. There is also a little front-zipper safety boot that zips over the front bar, so that when she's asleep, I can have her FULLY reclined with worring about her slipping out. The whole seating area is fully padded as well as the strap covers. The size, weight, and overall ease of use put this item along with my baby bjorn at the top of my list of could't function without it list.

The Perfect Little Stroller!, July 19, 2005
This review is from: Combi City Savvy Claret (Baby Product)
While planning a trip to Walt Disney World with our two-year-old, I began looking for a stroller that didn't require Herculean strength to lift into the trunk or Jedi mind tricks to figure out how to fold it. I stumbled onto this little darling, and let me tell you -- it was a lifesaver on our trip!
The stroller, at under 12 lbs., is easily lifted and can be toted around on the shoulder using the attached strap. I recently ran across a parking lot in a downpour with this slung over my shoulder and my daughter in my arms with no problems.
It also folds easily, just tilt the stroller back on its rear wheels and pull the two levers on the handle simultaneously --'it collapes on its own. Join the two sides together and it easily latches itself and the wheels allow it to stand upright. There is a medium-sized basket underneath that, while not large enough to stuff a Vera Bradley diaper bag in it, is large enough to hold a purse, a couple o' diapers and a package of wipes for a quick trip to the mall. The back folds down and my daughter slept easily during her naptime while in Walt Disney World. The detachable front rail gives her something to hold on to, and if you have little ones you can velcro toys to it --'as they get older, you can completely remove it. Finally, it is easy to gate-check if you travel with your tot frequently.
We have since replaced our huge Peg Perego travel system with this little gem. I highly recommend it for all types of travel.

Light and convenient, November 25, 2005
This review is from: Combi City Savvy Claret (Baby Product)
I typically don't add my opinions here, but thought that I should. We have the Graco Quattro in Mayfair and just love it. However, we spend a lot of time going to visit family 5 hours away and don't always take our Envoy, or have the additional room to spare. So, despite my husband's opinion, I decided to shop around. It was either this one or the Maclaren--but that was out of stock and we were traveling back to visit family for the holidays in a week's time. Having read the reviews of other parents and the editor's input, I took a chance. Fortunately it turned out to be a good risk. Let me tell you what I like:
1. It definitely is light! Especially being used to the weight of the big stroller, this one is a breeze to pick up.
2. It folds to be quite thin and takes up little space--a huge plus!
3. It has a canopy. This isn't a huge canopy like my graco, but the first time we used it, it was raining like a son of a gun and my baby stayed dry...mommy wasn't quite as fortunate, but that's another story.
4. It seems comfortable for my 7 month old.
5. It has the 5 point harness and the bar. She likes to put her feet up on it as if it were a recliner. Very cute.
What I'm not crazy about:
1. While the straps are adjustable, they aren't the easiest to work with. Takes a little time to get them where you want.
2. The recline isn't quite what you think it is. On the big stroller, there are actual positioned notches. On this one, it's adjusted with a strap on the back of the seat. Not the easiest or smartest of contraptions, but what we can't have everything. My daughter has yet to fully recline in it. I doubt she ever really will because it seems so flimsy.
3. The storage. Everything you read about it being small is true. I have a small diaper bag--the free black Enfamil one that I got at the hospital. That won't really fit in there. I just take the change pad, diapers, wipes, cream (I have a travel pack), my purse, a couple of toys, a blanket and that's about it for the storage. There is a nice compartment on the back for the cups and a cd/mp3 player if you have one--I don't, well not yet!
4. It doesn't close nearly as easy as my big stroller. Again, what can I expect for something that is considerably less expensive? It's not a one hander. Definitely put the baby in the car or have someone else hold you baby while you put this away. You need 2 hands because of the way it is designed.
Overall, for a lightweight umbrella stroller, I'm pleased. I bought it elsewhere for a lot less though. Make sure you can return it if you aren't pleased.
