Great for Infant and Toddler,

This review is from: Combi Twin Savvy EX Double Stroller Pattern: Silver Breeze (Baby Product)
I spent a few months looking into double strollers before I bought this one. I had it narrowed down to the Peg Perego Aria and the Combi Twin Savvy EX. What ultimately convinced me to buy the Combi was going into a store that sold both and test driving them with my 21 month and 1 month daughters in the seats. The Combi was so much sturdier than the Peg Perego which made it much easier to steer. Yes, the Aria has a bigger basket, but that is the only thing that was better.
Benefits to the Combi: Fabric is much thicker and cushier, EX version has boots for the fronts of the stroller which helps when using with infants, hoods are much bigger, 6 sets of wheels make it sturdier, easy to use with different age/size children, light weight is comparable to Aria, easier to steer.

With our first daughter we bought a Graco travel system, of course they have everything......a huge basket underneath, cup holders and other handy compartments. When I found out we were pregnant again and that I would need a double stroller I went to work researching. It ultimately came down to the Twin Savvy and the Aria Twin. After trying out both models I went with this Twin Savvy.
What I LOVE about this stroller: *It is extremely light weight, infact it feels lighter than my single stroller from the travel system I have. *It's very easy to stear, with a 2 year old and newborn there is a huge weight difference. But this stears like a dream. *It folds up extremely small. It fold in half and then in half again, so it takes up less space than my old travel system stroller. And it also stands upright on it's own which is handy when I take it places. *The padding is very comfy for my girls, much more comfy than other strollers Ive seen. What I DIDNT like so much: *Smallish baskets underneath the seats: I was spoiled with my HUGE basket in the travel system. While my large diaper bag doesnt fit easily I do make it fit and with two baskets it's not that bad. *The straps are a little more time consuming than with other strollers. But once you do it once it becomes very fast. The pro's certainly outweighed the con's with this stroller. And while the price is pretty high I realize a stroller isnt something you want to skimp on. I was also able to save some money by buying the stoller on ebay, I paid about 150.00 less for a brand new one, and that included shipping. I was also able to get it in Diva Pink for my two girls.

My favorite, favorite stroller.,

I'm a stroller snob, I admit it. Not for brand name--Combi may be an impressive name to somebody, but that person sure doesn't live in my town--but for quality. I'll pay more, but I demand function. I've had Maclaren and Peg Perego strollers, and believe me when I say that this is my favorite of all the strollers I've ever owned.
The front-and-back or side-by-side question is one that any shopping parent has to answer for herself. The strengths of the front-and-back (narrower for doorways and aisles, infant bucket compatible, big baskets) were less compelling to me than the strengths of the side-by-side (easier steering, lighter weight and much smaller when folded). The Twin Savvy has yet to be too wide for any door I've encountered--it's no wider than a wheelchair. The wheels must be straight to go in at the right angle, but it fits every time. I was also unswayed by the difficulty or impossibility (depending on who you ask) of using an infant seat with this stroller. It never bothered my son a bit to be lifted out of his carseat and placed into the stroller if he was asleep. The Twin Savvy has neatly stowed, easily retrievable boots that close up the foot of the stroller chair, so that a tiny infant has a safe, enclosed travel bed, and doesn't need to be strapped in. Additionally, the seats recline independently of one another, and lay down almost completely flat, so my newborn was functionally in a pram, while my toddler was upright and comfortable in his side. The baskets are truthfully not fantastic, but not a liability either. There are 2 medium baskets, one under each seat, and while my generous diaper bag doesn't fit, they're certainly big enough for shopping bags, coats, or a small grocery trip. As the top edge of the basket is elasticized, it's easy enough to get into even when the seat is fully reclined. The Twin Savvy steers AMAZINGLY easily, much more easily than any Peg Perego I ever used, even with wildly weight-unbalanced children (this isn't true of the Maclaren double stroller I test-drove). Even with a 9lb newborn and a 35lb toddler on board, the stroller drives very comfortably with one hand (LOVE the solid handle, instead of 2 separate hooks). In fact, even with my diaper bag hung on the handle behind my toddler, it still balances well, doesn't tip over backwards when the child comes out, and doesn't pull to the heavier side when pushing. Other handy things--cup holders for each child, which are deep enough to actually hold the cup steady; very large canopies; the fabric wipes clean and stays beautiful with heavy use; 5 point harness which can be reduced to 3 point by simply unclipping the shoulder straps (great for a wiggler, like my now-8-month-old); folds up easily enough that my husband, who almost never uses the stroller, can remember how to maneuver it without help; stands up on end when folded; useful shoulder strap for carrying; folds down beautifully for stowing in a trunk, so the entire cargo space of your car isn't eaten up. All around, exactly what I was hoping for from a double stroller. In fact, I love it so much that I got the single too, for times when I'm wearing my baby and strolling my toddler, or out with just one child. Highly, highly recommended.
