Lightweight stroller with full-size features!,
This review is from: Combi Spoleto LX Stroller Black (Baby Product)
I am so excited about this stroller. Although it is lightweight, it has so many great features that normally you can only find in the "SUV" type strollers! After looking at the aria and the cortina this one won by a landslide! It is compact and fits great when you are manuevering around a mall store or a crowd. The canopy extends extra far to protect baby from wind and sun. It will almost touch the snack tray! There is a 5-point harness with comfort pads so the little guy will not end up with lines on his face and the harness adjusts to 3 different heights as your child grows! The fabric is soft and breathable, and the seat cushion comes off completely for washing! The foot rest adjusts to 3 positions and there is an attached "boot" that is conveniently stored beneath the seat cushion to protect the smallest of babies when the seat is in flat recline. The 3-position recline does not have one of those horrible drawstrings, you simply reach back click a button-so easy and no more uneven seat! The handle is adjustable for different heights, there is also a generous basket. There is a snack/cup tray for the child, and a cup holder and a pocket on the canopy for your keys, cell phone, etc. It folds up easily and is free standing. It also has a small diaper bag included which has a strap, but also has snaps which allows you to snap it around the handle so you free up valuable basket space! (The spoleto is identical to the torino model except this one includes the diaper bag) It is not a huge diaper bag, but a great size for a trip to the mall. Another reason that I am sold on this stroller is it holds a combi connection LX infant seat, which is the same seat that can fit in the combi twin savvy LX side by side stroller, so when I have #2, I can use the seat interchanably! (Combi is the only manufacturer right now who makes a side by side double stroller that holds an infant seat!) It is a terrific stroller for the price!

Pros:great for city use, love the ease with the recline feature.. can be done in one hand (unlike the maclaren which needs both hands), basket and umbrella are good size, easy to maneuver, good value for the money
cons: isn't as compact at the maclaren when it folds, heavy to carry when travelling so you may need another light weight stroller for travels.

I purchased this stroller for my second child, he is 8 months old. I purchased this stroller looking for something lightweight, easy to handle, with a snack tray and large basket. I have now had the Spoleto for one month and find it to meet all of my expectations. It rides easy and the basket is large enough for a trip to the mall, probably not christmas shopping, but for basics it's good. I do like the diaper bag as it does free up the basket for other items. It has made one trip to Disneyland and accomodated extra clothes, snacks and purchases just fine. The cup holder, though not the sturdiest, works well enough.
My biggest dislike is that you need two hands to fold it up. I can't fold it up while holding my son, or anything else for that matter. Another thing I have found to be bothersome are the back brakes, they are sometimes difficult to set and release as they are a spoke that fits into a groove (best way I can describe it). Many times I have to bend over and release the brake and work to set them. I am only basing my dislikes on the fact I do own a Maclaren Techno for my older son and do not encounter these issues. The reason I didn't buy another Maclaren was because I wanted a standard type stroller with a tray. In buying a Spoleto I was looking for the ease of an umbrella stroller meshed with the perks of a standard stroller and I think the Spoleto does that well.
