Combi generally makes excellent baby products. My wife and I really like our Connection infant car seat and our Flash stroller. This stroller, however, is extremely disappointing for no other reason than the poorly designed restraint buckle. It rained on us everyday that we were at WDW but our daughter stayed completely dry.The 55lbs limit is great. We can use this for a few more years. Our other 2 stollers are a lot larger & don't have the weight limit of this stroller. We are going to keep this stoller in our primary vehicle from now on. Highly recommend this. The only draw back is a smaller basket (just forces you just to back the essentials...not necessarily a bad thing!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great stroller, November 26, 2007

The Combi Urban Trifold is very lightweight. It's a tad hard to maneuver sometimes as the front swiveling wheels sometimes jam up and you have to force the stroller to go in one direction, but once it's going it's a smooth ride. My son loves the safety bar in front as he can pull it towards him when he's bored and likes to bite on it, yet you wouldn't know as it shows no scars. The 5-point harness is real easy to use but the straps sometimes twist up. The raincover is a great accessory but I would have liked it to be a little longer in the front and on the sides. The basket underneath is small but larger than the typical mesh bag hanging from most umbrella strollers. The cup holder is also an added bonus. Oh and trifold feature, awesome! It uses up much less space when folded up than my other strollers both at home and in the minivan. All in all I would definitely recommend this stroller.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally Awesome!!, January 11, 2008
By
My daughter-in-law totally loves this stroller. She has a large travel system with car seat, etc, but needed a smaller, light weight one for riding the bus with Baby.

A big plus was that a rain shield came with the stroller so we did not have to purchase one seperately, making this one a better buy than a less expensive one.

D-I-L sayS stroller guides easily and she can push with one hand and the front wheels DO NOT go off in the wrong direction requiring two handed correction.

Folding is a one handed cinch and is easy to throw over shoulder to carry.

The bottom basket is a bit small and only holds the rain shield, so you do have to be conserative in what you take with you. She has moved to a bigger diaper bag with a shoulder strap so she does not need the basket for anything but the rain shield.

The rain sheild is great, covers the whole stroller (snaps to stroller) and has enough extra to tuck in at the feet. There are air holes on the sides.

Mommie says Baby also loves the stroller and with rain shield in place is as confortable as in her own bed. Very easy to take a nap while on a strol.

One thing that would make this stroller just a tiny bit nicer is if the back reclined at least a little bit. However, there are so many pluses to this stroller that you learn to adapt to the back not reclining.

If you are looking for a light weight compact stroller that folds up quickly and easily with only one hand, this is the product for you.

Combi generally makes excellent baby products. My wife and I really like our Connection infant car seat and our Flash stroller. This stroller, however, is extremely disappointing for no other reason than the poorly designed restraint buckle. It is constructed of obviously cheap plastic and won't unclip unless you press very very hard on the release button and pull like heck. Although I'm disappointed in the Urban, I will still consider buying other Combi strollers, which are generally well-designed, well-built, good looking, and quick folding, in the future.

April 21, 2008 Update: My wife and I purchased a Combi Cosmo stroller from BRU this past weekend. The buckle works fine and we are very impressed with the quality.

We needed a travel stroller for a recent trip to Paris. We were there for eight days. This stroller was folded and unfolded a couple of dozen times per day as we went into the metro. It went up and down small flights of stairs, over curbs and was definately put to the cobblestone test. It was exactly what we needed and performed very well. It was easy and fast to fold up and the carrying strap made it very easy to carry. The taller handles kept us from walking bent over like we do with our cheap umbrella stroller. Our son ate most of his meals in it and seemed comfortable all day wherever we went. The only problem I had was that I am about 5'2" and with it on my shoulder it would sometimes hit my feet as I went down stairs. A taller person would have no problem and it really wasn't a big problem for me either. The wind barrier worked fine. We didn't need it for rain so we didn't see how it worked in those conditions, but for wind it worked well.

I would definately recommend this stroller. Happy travels!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Buy for Tall Parents with Tall Kids, January 27, 2009
We currently have the Chicco Travel System and the stroller is very comfortable, sturdy, etc but my son (37" and 35 lbs at 2 years old) was getting cramped in it. We needed a stroller with a wide back to fit his shoulders as well as a high back seat since he is tall. The parents are 5'9" and 6'1" so we needed a stroller with a handle high enough that would not hurt our backs. I must add that we were willing to pay ANY price for a stroller that was comfortable. After checking out several different models in the stores we searched on-line and found this model. I was not sure about it at first but purchased it with the thought that I could return if it did not work out. We have been pleasantly surprised. The handle is high, seat back is wide/tall, and it is light enough to make a heavy toddler easy to push. The compact size makes it nice to carry when he wants to walk. The storage basket on the bottom is small (about the size of a shoebox) but I do not really care. Great deal...great price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good simple stroller, October 29, 2009

I selected this stroller based on the positive reviews here and after nearly a year of using it, am happy with this purchase. It is good for walking around town and the neighborhood and is fairly easy to travel with (lightweight, relatively compact). I only have minor complaints. As other reviewers have indicated, it is nearly impossible to unfold and especially fold up the stroller with one hand. Although I was aware of this critique, I was pregnant with my first child when I made this purchase, so I significantly underestimated the importance of this ability. Another reason that I selected this stroller was because of its reported ease of use for taller individuals. My husband is 6'1" and it is awkward for him to push this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, April 2, 2009

Since we'll be spending lots of time with our G'daughter wanted to get our own stroller. Didn't feel secure with the standard umbrella strollers, too flimsy, uncomfortable, difficult to open. After much research, picked this up & aren't sorry. It's easy to open/close, lightweight, high handle for us with long legs, swivel wheels give it a smooth ride & are great over uneven surfaces, love the storage - basket underneath, pocket behind seat & the cup holder. Most of all, the baby loves it - she has plenty of room & is quite comfortable. We like the fact the shoulder harness can be adjusted as she grows. The rain shield is a nice feature as well, even though haven't used it yet. When folded doesn't take any more room than a cheap umbrella. Highly recommended!!

We have used this stroller for a few weeks now and we love it so far! No bending down while walking, light-weight, nicely foldable, affordable, and apparently comfortable as well as our toddler loves to climb into it and be pushed around. We don't know the long-term prospects yet, that's the only reason I hesitate to give it 5 stars already.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight but poor steering, February 18, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I had originally purchased the Evenflo sport stroller for my daughter six months ago and loved it. However someone obviously loved it more and stole it out my car. So I hopped back on Amazon and looked for another similar lightweight stroller with a higher weight limit and found the Combi Urban Trifold. I was so excited to get it as I've read rave reviews on everything Combi makes. The assembly was a piece of cake, just snapping on the wheels is all. I was pleased that it was so lightweight and could hold up to 55lbs. Opening and closing the stroller is simple as well and the handles are nice and high causing no back pain leaning over like some of the other strollers I've seen.

My only negative about this stroller is that it is super difficult to steer. If you need to steer it with one hand, or open a door and push the stroller through, the wheels don't glide where you "want" them to go. With the Evenflo stroller I could manuever easily with one hand and turn on a dime if needed. If I had to purchase over again, I would have gone back to my original choice.
