Book Description

February 1, 2002
This is a book for players or groups of players, who want to play more than six numbers and more tickets in a well-organized, highly-balanced, and entertaining way. The strategies outlined in the book can be used in any pick-6 lottery in the world. The author has used advanced methods of combinatorics and optimization to design the most economical lottery system (wheel) for any given guarantee. Each system in his book comes with a complete table of possible wins. The lottery player will find systems with double and multiple guarantees, excellent navigational tools and presentation. It is a common belief that the lottery is a boring game and the only excitement comes from watching the draw and matching some of the winning numbers. This book shows that choosing the right way of playing your numbers, assessing the possible wins and filling the tickets can be as entertaining as a trip to Las Vegas!

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

In the new, improved, and expanded edition, Professor Bluskov again delivers the best lottery systems to the attention of lotto players from around the world. A total of 128 current world record least expensive systems for a broad range of guarantees are presented. Professor Bluskov's book offers the newest and best on lotto systems (wheels). It is a book of interest to every lottery player or a group of players who wish to play their numbers in an organized and balanced way. Lottery systems (wheels) guarantee wins in the same way a single ticket does while allowing playing with many numbers (7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,... etc.) For instance, a single ticket guarantees a 4-win if four of the player's numbers are drawn. A lottery system is a well-organized set of tickets, giving the same guarantee, while allowing the players to use as many numbers as they wish. For example, system #24 from the book guarantees a 4-win whenever four of the player's 14 numbers are drawn; system #25 guarantees a 4-win whenever four of the player's 15 numbers are drawn, etc. Systems with many other guarantees are presented in this excellent strategy book. Each system has been constructed by Dr. Bluskov's new techniques of combinatorial and computer optimization, and, therefore, gives the most economical way of playing for a certain guaranteed win. All of these systems are world records in terms of performance (achieving certain guarantee in the minimum possible number of tickets). The book is the only one on the subject which is written by a mathematician and a lottery expert and we believe it is the best one in existence. The book offers a huge number of improvements in the area of classical lottery systems. Many features of the book are completely new for the genre, for example, systems with double and multiple guarantees and tables of possible wins. Other unique features include the presentation and organization of the material: Each system appears as a separate article, including a table of all possible wins; comments on various characteristics of the system, such as minimality, balance and density; and the system itself. The book provides the tools to make playing the lottery as entertaining as playing a table game and gives the player strategies to attack the jackpot in a balanced and well-organized way. No mathematical knowledge is needed to either play or understand the lottery systems, which makes the book accessible to virtually every lottery player or a group of players.

About the Author

The author has worked as a freelance writer for a number of lottery publications in Europe and North America, and has spent many years in research in Combinatorics, a branch of Mathematics, which among other things deals with combinatorial lottery systems (or coverings, as they call them in Combinatorics). He holds several academic degrees, including Ph.D. in Mathematics, and works as a university professor. Dr. Bluskov has written over 20 research papers related to lotteries and over 200 publications on lottery systems. The objects presented in his book originate from the most recent research in the area, and are based on his expert knowledge of the subject.

More About the Author

Dr. Bluskov (1957-) is a university professor. He has also worked as a freelance writer for a number of lottery publications in Europe and North America, and has spent many years in research in Combinatorics, a branch of Mathematics, which, among other things, deals with combinatorial lottery systems. He turned his lifelong fascinations with numbers and structures into ground-breaking strategy books for lottery players. Part of his research is on determining how to achieve a specific winning guarantee in a lottery in the minimum possible number of tickets. The results in his books originate from recent research in several areas of mathematics, and have been obtained by various techniques ranging from sophisticated combinatorial constructions to applying optimization methods via thousands of hours of computations. Although based on quite advanced knowledge in mathematics and related areas, his results are described in plain language and are accessible to virtually every lotto player or a group of players.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Highly Recommend This Book - It Worked for Me!!!, September 1, 2004
This review is from: Combinatorial Lottery Systems (Wheels) with Guaranteed Wins (Paperback)
I own many books on the lottery, and have never felt the need to write a review for any until now. I purchased this book just days ago. After quietly reading it, I immediately discovered what was unique about it. The author uses systems that have been scientifically developed for accuracy, using the mathematical science of combinatorics. For those who may shy away from any discussion math related, don't be fooled by the big word. All of the work has been done already, and if you can read my review, you can master the concepts taught in this book, math or no math. After reading the book, I decided to test the principles on paper the next day. I modified one of the systems, making it adaptable to a Pick 5 came and applied it. To my delight, had I played for real I would have captured a 4 of 5 win, with multiple 3 and 2 number wins. Total winnings were over $460.00. What causes this book to stand out over others is that the systems are optimized for minimal required tickets. In other words, the author has calculated the lowest number of tickets required to capture the win desired. It is good to see a work vindicated by results and not hype... I highly recommend it...

4.0 out of 5 stars Not for Powerball or Mega Millions, April 11, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Combinatorial Lottery Systems (Wheels) with Guaranteed Wins (Paperback)
Great book for the old 6 number systems or if your state has a seven number draw. Doesn't help those of us after the really big bucks from playing Powerball or Mega Millions, there are no systems in this book for 5 number draws. Would be wonderful if the auther made a wheel book for 5 number draws. The auther is also right about Howard's systems not being the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars It is the best one, June 18, 2002

This review is from: Combinatorial Lottery Systems (Wheels) with Guaranteed Wins (Paperback)
The author claims his book is the best one on the market and I cannot agree more. I
have collected several books over the years, including Serotic, Howard and Jones'
and can now see, for the first time, The Professional. I have also seen many wheels
on the net and the available software. Everything seems to pale in comparison with
Bluskov's wheels. Bluskov presents the shortest systems ever created and gives
quite comprehensive tables of wins, so that the players can actually see how the
systems work and what the expected winnings are. Strongly recommend this book.
Oh, and believe it or not, the first time I played, I chose system # 88 and hit 4 out of
10; brought me two 4-wins + twelve 3-wins! I am looking forward to exploring
other gems from the book!
