5.0 out of 5 stars End the wondering
My husband and I started trying to conceive in May and by July I knew I couldn't take the waiting/guessing game. I ordered these for my July cycle and they arrived promptly. These are dip sticks, so you need to use a cup which I found not be a problem. After five days of testing for ovulation starting on the 10th cycle day, I started getting worried. I didn't get a...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Worth Trying
I've used two 50-pack Ovulation strips from the same store. Very good. Sharp images and very clear results. But this 20ov+5pg pack is not as good. Test line is too faint, foggy. Result line is faint even when positive. Very hard to tell the difference of two lines. Painful experence. I tried the 1st one, could not see the result well, used two, three, hoping the next...

I didn't get a positive test until the 18th day of my cycle, which was much later than I had thought. I'm not sure if I always ovulate that late because I only had to use these one month and we conceived. I think we had been trying too early on the other months. These are an inexpensive way to help your efforts! I would definitely recommend these if you are ready to be pregnant yesterday. One thing I noticed about the pregnancy test, is that the lines do not show up as brightly as the store-bought brands, so at first I wasn't sure it was a positive. Now it's 12 weeks later and we know we are having twins.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but I do not Know how precise it is..., March 8, 2007

They say the band has to be darker or at least the same intensity as the control band. In my case, the band appeared at the right time, was there for 2-3 days and I got my cycle after 2 weeks, which makes me believe that it was a LH surge, but the band never got as dark as the control band... Besides that, the test is very convenient and simple.

After two clomiphene-induced pregnancies, the latter of the two ending unhappily in a miscarriage, my wife and I were finally ready to try again, but irregular cycles made our wish for another pregnancy quite difficult to achieve. We decided to purchase this test kit and a 10-pack of extra ovulation tests after reading some of the reviews, and we are very happy to report that tests now point to a pregnancy again. We didn't feel that the warnings about the lack of clarity of the results on the ovulation tests was all that justified, the results came back quite clear. Use was easy, the instructions were clear, packaging was good (and in a neutral envelope), and the price was certainly right. So, we would definitely recommend this combination. It saved us from another round of clomiphene quite easily.

These were a bit different to the test I was use to getting at the grocery store. You have to use a cup to do the tests, but I just kept a stack of disposable cups in the bathroom with the strips and it worked out fine. I did get PG with the ovualtion test!!!! Due in April!!!

prompt shipping, great value for what you get. the ovulation predictor strips worked
fantastic, they helped me to get pregnant in the first month i used them!!!
the pregnancy tests did not work early, and even a couple days after my missed period, the line
was verrry faint. I had to use a drugstore test to confirm, and they worked right on time.

2.0 out of 5 stars OPK & Pregnancy test did not work for me, February 17, 2010
This review is from: Combo Pack of 20 Ovulation Tests and 5 Early Pregnancy Tests (Health and Beauty)
If you've read Toni Weschler's book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility, then you know that OPKs (ovulation predictor kits) are misleading for a number of reasons (Toni mentions 10 reasons, see p. 148). Despite this, I felt I needed to arm myself with all the available information and technology due to my irregular cycles and my desire to get pregnant. So I purchased these OPKs. As it turns out, I'm one of a "significant number of women who peak (LH surge) below the threshold that the kits actually test."

I used an OPK every day of my last cycle. Every day this OPK said I was not ovulating (NEGATIVE). However, thankfully I was charting both my temperature and my cervical fluid and they both told me that I WAS ovuluating and WHEN. 11 days post ovulation (11 DPO) I took the pregnancy test that came with this package. NEGATIVE. I bought a well-known over-the-counter pregnancy test and it came up POSITIVE. I just got back from the doctor's office today and my blood test confirmed a POSITIVE pregnancy.

Moral of this story: OPKs have several inherent problems with them. Don't waste your money and instead chart your temps and cervical fluid. Get to know your body. Also, ask vendors at what HCG levels they test for. I was able to find this information on the website of the over-the-counter pregnancy test. This product, however, does not label their product with this information.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ovulation Tests, December 10, 2007
This review is from: Combo Pack of 20 Ovulation Tests and 5 Early Pregnancy Tests (Health and Beauty)
The product came on a timely basis and both price and shipping were much better than any retail store. Although not the top of the line, most advanced test kit, it does what it's designed to do.

I purchased these and used them soley for one month. You are supposed to have a line that is equal to or darker to indicate LH surge. Last month they did not show an LH surge only a light line. This month I purchsed Clear Blue Easy and used that and these tests. Clear Blue Easy was a much darker line and these showed a light line...which in the instructions states this is not the surge it must be as dark or darker. I tried to save money as most of us using these are spending alot, but I am having IUI and this is a critical portion. I would have missed it this month had I not bought the clear blue easy.
