Accurate, easy to use & extremely reliable (oh and CHEAP),
This review is from: Combo Pack 40 (LH) Ovulation Tests + 10 (HCG) Pregnancy Test Strips (Health and Beauty)
For the first few months we were trying to conceive I spent an estimated $400 plus dollars on store-bought HPTs (home pregnancy tests) & OPKs (Ovulation Prediction Kits)...then an 8 month pregnant friend told me she had used the test strip cheapies for both so I have switched over. To ensure I didn't miss my fertile period by using a cheaper product for the first month I used 2 different brands of store bought OPKs plus the cheap OPK test strips and compared the performance of all three (on every day of testing). It worked perfectly (and was actually more sensitive than one of the expensive store brands) so I would absolutely recommend anyone wondering if they should switch over to do so immediately!
P.S Just in case you don't get the instructions (I did) you can apply the same instructions for any other tests - dip for 5 seconds, wait for 5 minutes (although you will usually see a result within a minute or two)etc. For the OPK the test line must be as dark, or darker, than the Control Line (and the Control Line is always the line farthest from the end that you dip in your pee). For the HPT the same rule applies (regarding placement of the Control Line)..and remember a faint test line is a positive! And don't read the results after 5-10 minutes (no matter how tempting it may be!).

Great buy, would recommend!,
This review is from: Combo Pack 40 (LH) Ovulation Tests + 10 (HCG) Pregnancy Test Strips (Health and Beauty)
These strips are extremely inexpensive and accurate! They arrived only a couple of days after I placed my order. The very easy to read instructions were emailed to me, which I thought was a little bit strange. They are in individually sealed packets and then taped together with packaging tape, so you have to be careful pulling them apart. They are a little bit messy because you dip the strip (without any type of cover)in urine, and then lay it on a flat surface. This wasn't too bad because I used the back of the toilet and cleaned it when I was done. I would say the little bit of extra effort was well worth it because of the price. These strips cost a fraction of the ones in the drug store. And, I found them to be just as accurate (if not more so). After using them for only one cycle I am now pregnant!!! I would highly recommend these strips.

Great deal and easy to use,
This review is from: Combo Pack 40 (LH) Ovulation Tests + 10 (HCG) Pregnancy Test Strips (Health and Beauty)
The test strips are easy to use and are a great value compared to drug store prices. The only problem I had was that they e-mail the directions and there was a problem the first time they tried to send them to me. The tests are very self explainitory, but the directions do give answers to a few questions that might be handy.
The strips come all stuck together which is kind of inconvenient. I took five or ten minutes when I got them to separate them and put them in a couple of sandwich bags (one for the ovulation strips and one for the pregnancy strips)and put them in the cupboard in the bathroom. This just saved time and annoyance later. A small basket or storage container would work just as well. Also, if you don't normally keep paper cups in your bathroom, it's a good idea to buy a box/bag of the smallest size bathroom cups and keep them handy too. I wouldn't go for the most expensive or the bigger sizes because its a waste. I just got the 3 ounce store brand and they work fine.

worked, but tricky,
This review is from: Combo Pack 40 (LH) Ovulation Tests + 10 (HCG) Pregnancy Test Strips (Health and Beauty)
As some other reviewers have stated, these are not the easiest test strips to use, and the results are not as clear as you'd like to see. I don't think I ever got a pink line that was exactly as dark as the control line; mostly I got faint lines for several days. I did always get the control line. What confused me for the first few months is that there is no clear 'ramping up' of the darkness of the lines. For example, I might get faint pink lines for 4 days, then suddenly I would get a much darker line the next day, and only for a very brief period of time-- if I hadn't tested at exactly the right time on the right day, I would have missed it all together. In fact, I'm positive this is what happened for the first few months.
Did it work? Yes, it did-- I'm currently about 10 weeks pregnant. But it took several tries to figure out the variables and I missed the ovulation window more than once.

Obviously the price is amazing.. but to my surprise, these little cheapies are very accurate! Some people say it's hard to read the ovulation tests. I agree... it's hard when you're not doing it right. LOL. We were ttc for 6 months. I finally did it right on our 7th cycle. Because I have irregular cycles and ovulate really late, I test from CD14-AF. Only test around 7-8 p.m. and prior to testing, no drinking/eating/peeing for 2 hrs. I don't know if everybody is like this but for me, the pink line progressed as the days go by (closer to ovulation). Then the day before ovulation, it's a unmistakable positive (colors match). Though I still get a positive OPK reading for 3-4 days, I read that you should take the first positive OPK as THE one. In my case, that's true! As for the pregnancy test, it too is accurate. On the evening I felt a warm/tingling sensation on my left ovary (10 dpo), it showed a faint BPF! Not a faint where I had to squint and move the test to a better light. It was a good faint. I confirmed my BFP with a digital FRER test the next morning. I'm still testing at 4 week (just for the heck of it) and it's getting darker each day! Baby dust to you all.... God bless...

I ordered this product because I have an irregular cycle ranging anywhere from 30 to 44 days so I was hoping this would make ttc a little bit easier. The directions are very clear I started testing a few days earlier that what the instructions had said just to make sure that I was getting some negative tests to compare. A few days prior to my positive LH test I started getting a faint pink test line indicating that the LH level was slowly increasing. When I started getting the faint test line I would then test two times per day just to make sure I wouldn't miss it. A more concentrated urine specimen is always better so I would usually test in the a.m after getting up and then later in the evening. To see the faint pink test line was kind of hard to interpret at first, but it was like the instructions said if the test line is not as dark as the control line then do not consider it positive. During the couple days of faint pink test lines each day would get a little more positive, but not enough to call positive. I tested the next morning and just like that the test line was unmistakeably positive. So we tried that evening and lone behold I used one of the included HCG tests about 12 days post and am now pregnant. I really thought I was going to have to do this for several months but it worked on the first try so I must have done something right. Compared to what the local drug stores charge for these products this is the best deal for the money and the number of test strips you get, plus the included HCG tests. I hope this review helps and good luck:}

We got pregnant on our first try!!!,
This review is from: Combo Pack 40 (LH) Ovulation Tests + 10 (HCG) Pregnancy Test Strips (Health and Beauty)
I cannot say enough GREAT things about these ovulation sticks. My husband and I haven't necessarily been trying, but we have not used any source of birth control in 3 years and I was starting to get worried that there was something wrong with our fertility. I decided to order these to make sure I was ovulating and we ended up getting pregnant the very first month! These work just as well as the expensive ones. I do have a 24 day cycle, so it took a few more days passed my missed cycle for my positive pregnancy test to show up, but lo & behold, POSITIVE!

I thought I was ovulating and used the test to confirm. It worked PERFECTLY and we got pregnant the 1st month trying. Great for the price (although I now have like 35+ ovulation tests left now that I am pregnant but have enjoyed passing them on to friends). Worth it!!

Hello - I have been TTT since March and finally at the end of September, with never having a positive pregnancy test, I decided to start testing for ovulation. Previously I had only been keeping up with my period. I ordered these LH and Preg test strips from Amazon (under $10 for several months supply) "Combo Pack 40 (LH) Ovulation Tests + 10 (HCG) Pregnancy Test Strips". I tested ovulation in October and found that I really wasn't ovulating until about day 17 which previously I always thought it was day 14. Anyway - when I got a positive on the LH test strip, meaning I would ovulation with in the next day or two, my partner and I did the deed and sure enough, I got a positve pregnancy test this week. I can't believe it - I totally think that by using the test strips, I was more aware of when I actually ovulated. These kits are VERY VERY affordable and the pregnancy test strips average out to be under a dollar each.. For all of us who are/were TTC, we know how quickly we can go through MANY pregnancy tests - so these are a much cheaper option - feel free to test away! Good luck to you all!!!!
