This set is terrific for hours of fun! My kids had never played jacks or pick up sticks and they LOVED it! Even my 15 year old! We spent hours tonight playing a couple of the card games and the pick up sticks really gave my son's fine motor skills a work out.
And this was the ONLY place I could find the 'real' jacks-metal ones. Every store I went too, in person and online, only had rubber ones.

Remember when it was fun to play jacks, marbles, chinese checkers, run, play tag, ride bikes or roller skate all day long? In this day & age where many households have several gaming systems, several TVs and such I think it's easy to forget that it's good to sometimes 'unplug' ourselves from the TV, games, computers and just play simple things.

I was looking for something that I can work on my kids to develop their hand / eye coordination and the dexeterity in my 6yr old's hands. I wasn't sure of the quality when I ordered but these jacks are the real deal...metal and not cheap, light plastic. The pick up sticks aren't very 'thick' but I've got 2 boys who LOOOVE to play pick up sticks and they've yet to break even a single one. It's not uncommon to find them on my kitchen floor while I'm cooking or cleaning in the kitchen while they play game after game of pick up sticks. The set also includes a game of Tiddly Winks but so far, my boys haven't been a fan of playing it much. The jacks are a bit harder to master but WE are all improving. :-) We love it so much that we bought a set for my kid's school classroom as well. Here's to simple fun!! :-)

This product includes 30 small pick-up sticks - an embarrassingly small bundle. They are made of plastic, and each has a pronounced seam along the edge, which affects gameplay. Please, don't waste your time and money. Look elsewhere for a decent product.

If you are looking for the wooden, nicely sized Pick up Sticks from your youth, these are NOT them. I was completely disappointed in this item. They are extremely small and made from cheap plastic. Unfortunately, these plastic toothpicks are going straight into the garbage. Buyer beware!

The jacks and pick up sticks game has brought hours of fun for my Granddaughter and me. It is teaching her hand eye coordination and finger dexterity. It brings back many happy memories from my early childhood to share with her. These are the real McCoy jacks not the big cumbersome plastic jacks that are available in the stores. I recommend this product to anyone interested in good Old Fashion Fun.

Pick-up Stix is a very simple, very old, game but it is not easy. It is so old-fashioned that it was impossible for me to find it in local stores. This particular set is made of plastic. The older kind were usually made of wood. The wood handles better and does not roll as much...but the plastic are more durable. It just takes a a little longer to get accustomed to them. This is a great game for children to practice dexerity and coordination.

I ordered the toy to give for my son's birthday party as a favor.
One look and i knew it was no good. The sticks were really flimsy and the jax too were of poor quality.
I have bought better pickup sticks in the dollar store. I decided to return all of them and will not recommend this product to anyone. Pickup sticks is a really fun game - but I would not even pay a dollar for this quality.

I gave this 5 stars even though I did return. There was nothing wrong with the product...it just wasn't exactly what I wanted. I was looking for the longer pick up sticks and the jumbo jacks with the real rubber ball. The seller was very nice about the return - I would deal with her again. As I said, there's nothing wrong with this item, it just wasn't what I was looking for; if I'd read the description more thoroughly, I would have known that.
