Historic and wonderful, October 27, 2007

I was already familiar with many of the songs on this CD, but hearing them performed by the team that created (or helped to create) them was a revelation. Unlike many Broadway composers and lyricists, Comden and Green had significant experience performing on the stage, and you can hear it in their treatment of their songs. Very enjoyable and highly recommended, both for the historical/documentary aspect and just for the sheer pleasure of hearing two great performers obviously having a great time performing great material.
