Children are encouraged to hammer with Noah as they "bang fist on fist." They can listen to God with Noah as he receives instructions on building an ark. The action suggestions will find the child prowling like a lion, swinging like a monkey, hopping like a frog. The amazing illustrations of Chris Saunderson allow the reader to sense the feeling of raindrops, and the rocking of the boat as the water rises. Stephanie Jeffs has provided narrative that allows the early reader to learn the basic of the story of Noah and his obedience to God's plan. A good introduction for the story of Noah and the Ark, easy to understand, and with the hand signs and movements, you can capture the children's attention and get them involved.

This title, part of the Action Rhyme Series from New Day Publishing, gives parents, RE teachers, and Christian daycare providers a fun and nicely illustrated text for teaching the story of Noah and the Ark. Each 16 page book in the series is a treat, and with the actions suggested, each is a nice solution to the "wiggles" that often affect 3-6 year olds.
