5.0 out of 5 stars A Fine Follow up to Back to Higher Ground
Some fans of the Briggs may argue that this is a step down from Back to Higher Ground. I don't know. Given how good that album was I wouldn't doubt it. Come all you Madmen has great value and should be in the collection of any Punk Rock fan. I didn't know them at all when they opened for Flogging Molly at 1st avenue Minneapolis. But I was hooked.

I enjoy their earlier stuff a lot more. Check out "Numbers" to see the Briggs at their best.

The self titled opener is the perfect primer for the rest of the album. With a rockin chorus of "Come All you madmen join in the sound, till they put us underground, buried deep buried deep where the dead men sleep" just makes you want to bellow along with the rest of the band.

Follow up songs such as "What was I thinking" and "Bloody minds" further solidify this as a well written and extremely catchy set list.

The fact is nobody sounds quite like the Briggs. Do yourself a favor and pick up this album. There is alot to be enjoyed.

I had never heard of The Briggs until I went to watch a soccer game in LA with my son and a less known Band played the song "This is LA" at the stadium. We loved that song and, back home, I searched for the band who had recorded it. I bought the CD and was not disappointed. In addition to "This is LA", they play a couple of very good songs. This is a very interesting album.
