a crazy quilt of short stories,

These rich and colorful short stories embrace an intriguing variety of characters and their view points.Beautifully written,Ms. Dahl has a knack for delving into the mind of her studies.Each person has his or her own unique voice and perspective-from the lost college girl to the bigoted grand dame.I loved this book,and look forward to exploring more of this writer's work.

This is a wonderful group of stories about Mexico and SouthAmerica and takes this reader back to the sixties, when so many of us were living "on the road" lives. Dahl writes deft and deep portraits of not only American middle-class young people disaffectedly roaming the "other America," but of the people who live there. Old and young, poor and well-to-do, they're all here. A first class effort, lovingly crafted. |
