I wish I could give it 3 and 1/2 stars instead of 4 but I did like it even though it was just okay. The acting, like another reviewer said, was a little over the top when it came to the nightmare scenes. Not a lot of gore was a definite plus even though there was plenty of room for it. Nice story, good twists, and an ending with enough "creep-out factor" to leave a mystery/thriller fan satisfied.

A very unique story. I suspect that those who didn't like it, didn't watch the whole movie. I get that, it seems senseless and exploitive until the AHA! Moment. It scared me, I was moved emotionally,I found both the story and acting very well done, but the denouement, priceless. Excellent horror with a twist you wont see coming.

From "Rear Window" to "Fright Night", the cinematic premise of the suspicious neighbor is nothing new. "Come Back to Me" actually puts a spin on this tired cliche I wasn't expecting, but that was ruined by sub-par acting, a script loaded with stilted dialogue, and ham-fisted direction reminiscent of Edward D. Wood, Jr. What could've been a very creepy horror film quickly became an absurd exercise in audience torture.

Instead of rooting for the protagonist and her husband, I found myself wishing for their gory demise about twenty minutes into the movie. Both were so self-absorbed and nerve-grating that the awkward silliness of the cookie-devouring-psycho-neighbor-that-might-just-be-a-necromancer became a breath of fresh air.

The last twenty minutes or so were basically lifted wholecloth from an '80s horror film called "American Gothic."

As a seasoned horror fan, I recommend saving your money for a better movie, and giving this one a pass.

This held my interest from start to finish and ultimately had a bit of an X Files feel to it. In this age of over-done "found footage" films, it was nice to see something a little different, that took some twists I didn't see coming. Go with the positive reviews here on this film and ignore the negative ones.

This one horror/thriller that you've got to see. I love horror movies, but my problem (and I suspect many others) is finding a diamond in a giant pile of cow manure, - it seems like for every good horror movie made there are 20 that are horrible. This a gem found in that pile of BS.
It doesn't rely on CGI, and the actual "scare" meter doesn't go all that high with this movie, but the overall creepiness of it left me unsettled, and there were scenes in the movie I had to pause, then restart, because it creeped me out so much. I can't really say anything more, without crossing into the line of spoilers, but it's definitely worth the rental. (Although I really would have liked to have the ending of the movie different. I'm surprised they didn't release an alternative one with the ending going the total opposite of how it actually ended. Although it really WAS a nice twist at the end - I totally was not expecting that!)(so maybe a good ending after all?)

Josh (Matt Passmore) and Sarah (Katie Walder) are a young couple with issues but appear to be getting by. Dale (Katie Walder) is our greasy haired social outcast who moves into the neighborhood and Sarah' life is turned upside down with weird night terrors. She acquires information she should take to the police, but doesn't and there is a communications breakdown among our couple.

I liked the unique idea of the film , but they made it a mystery much of the way through when I believe a film from Dale's point of view would have been less mysterious but far more entertaining...maybe next time.

The film is low budget with too few characters. The dialogue needed creativity. Okay film to watch if it is cheap enough.

Parental Guide: F-bomb. Off screen rape. No nudity.

The movie sold me by reading the description, this is definitely one that I generally gravitate to. The acting was fine, the production more than adequate, but the constant "Nightmare" gasping was definitely overdone. I know what method it was attempting to achieve, and the draw was consistent throughout. The lead was adorable, and held up her role quite well. All in all, time worth spent.

Having read the book The Resurrectionist by Wrath James White, I have to say the movie did a decent job portraying the characters. If you like Wrath James this is a must watch.
