This item was VERY lightweight. I was expecting something a little more heavy because it's for outdoor use. It was however, colorfast when rained upon and doesn't skid so time will tell. But in its humor, there was nothing else under the tree at our house that got as many laughs. It was a favorite among of our college age family members and we all know how difficult it is buying for this age group. Sometimes a laugh is more important!

I bought this doormat about nine months ago after some law enforcement officers actually decided they wanted to search my house without a warrant (nobody consented to a search).

It's never failed to amaze and amuse visitors, and my doormat actually appeared in a short documentary film about Free State Project members living here in New Hampshire.

It is starting to fade out, though, after having been through a New Hampshire winter and summer, and I'll probably have to replace it next year.

Its cute and it fits my personality perfectly! Brings a smile to the face of anyone walking into my home.

i would though. if the police came to my door and pounded on it. id tell them to come back with a warrant.

what i WOULD do, is put this out on the front porch of my house. so if the police DID come to my door, they'd look down and see this, and they'd know that they should probably leave and come back with a warrant. or they'd laugh cuz they already HAD a warrant, and then knock my front door off the hinges, administer a healthy beat down to me and then take my ass to jail. i got this for my birthday and havent put it out on the porch yet. its a nice mat and will serve its purpose well. i do wish it was a little heavier but it will be fine.

get it. if you have trouble with the police, it might not make them leave, but it might buy you a little bit of extra time to run out the back door. unless they surround the house, which they usually do.

I bought this for a friend of mine who had recently had a rather involved encounter with the law. I thought the mat was a hilarious idea. He didn't seem to find it as funny, but that's not important.

What is important is that I was hoping for a little more for my money when purchasing this insensitive gift. I work at a flooring store, and in hindsight I think I could have made this myself for less...... but to be fair, that is because I work in a flooring store. The other 99.99% of the population who are fortunate enough to to ANYTHING other than work in a flooring store should be more than content with this product.

I will tell you that the binding seems to be of good quality, and the carpet itself, while not of exceptional quality, should serve its purpose for at least a couple years depending on the weather in your area. I think I was just frustrated because I realized that I could have made this myself, and I don't usually pay for things that I can do/make myself. This was also a strange experience for my because I realized that I had found the one positive side to working at a flooring store: I can make my own doormats.

To sum up:
If you do ANYTHING other than work in the floor covering industry, and you want to buy this: BUY IT
If you work in the flooring industry and you want to buy this: DON'T.... and may god have mercy on your soul.

The product is exactly what I ordered and expected. Shipping was prompt, and visitors to our home get a chuckle out of it. Everybody is happy.

I was so happy to receive this! Very funny. It even came with a comical label describing the manufacturers. We were very happy. But very quickly the lettering wore off! We got it around October 2010, and now, in January 2011, the lettering is faded and barely visible. Pathetic!!!!

I was arrested in 2006 for some made up stuff by some very evil criminals with badges. You can see an article written about it here:[...] . The cops saw the mat, and stuffed it up under the porch so they could later claim they hadn't. Later they admitted to having seen it in Federal court while under oath. Both my criminal and civil attorneys used this doormat to great effect in court. I strongly suggest this doormat to anyone, no matter if you are a crook or an extremely law abiding peaceable sort like me. This doormat to evil cops is like garlic to a vampire. Get one, get two, buy some for your family.

I purchased this doormat as I thought it was witty and funny considering my occupation is in Law Enforcement. The product itself is a good quality and has held up well. I get tons of compliments on it, and questions about where I purchased it.

It is very thin and lightweight and has a cheap feel. It will blow away with a strong wind. But I bought it to be funny, not functional.
