I highly recommend this book. Not only is it great "read for ten minutes before bed" type reading, but also has really helped me and inspired me through various times and trials. Unlike many daily devotionals, Swindoll manages to keep his writing extremely personal, whether broaching lighter topics or heavy doctrinal issues. After reading the book, I not only feel as though I have keener insight on different topics, but I feel like I've gotten to know someone as well.

Many of you have read books like this in the past, I'm sure. This one is different and has such wonderful insight that it is a must-read for anyone searching for inspiration, answers, and growth. As a Christian, we cannot become complacent in our education and this book is helpful in that area. It has forced me to think with new insight about things that I thought I already knew. Please consider a copy of this book; you will grow.

I love Chuck Swindoll. He writes where I live...practical, everyday and deep enough to get the point that God wants me to understand.

Come Before Winter and Share my Hope by Charles Swindoll is an excellent book. It is full of humor, insight, trivia, history, and outstanding common sense. It helps one develop a better understanding and a personal relationship with God. It has Mark Twain's humor and logic. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

I am always amazed at the insite given through Chuck Swindoll's writings. Each devotional is thought provoking in its depth to stir the soul. Each is also followed by a suggested scripture for application. We in our human carnal thinking we cannot comprehend the things of God. Chuck Swindoll helps us all to see that our ways are not His ways. No matter what things we suffer here on earth, we are not alone. There have been many who have suffered great depths of pain before us and those to come. Our rest will come when we learn to put our faith and trust in that which is eternal. We will be all the stronger for it, until then.

deep and practical. Also makes a wonderful gift book.

Who writes any better than Charles Swindoll!!!! I am so happy to own this book. It covers so many topics, i.e. superstition, offerings, closing the door to lust, teenage turbulence to name but a few. His books are always easy reading and wonderful source to go to again and again. Get yourself a copy soon !!!
