Energize Your Soul,
By Kelly K. Dunn "quadzero" (the Heartland of the United States of America) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Come Heal This Land (Audio CD)
I first saw Robin Mark at Willow Ceek and was instantly taken by his leadership in praising the Lord. "Come Heal This Land: Live Worship From Northern Ireland", is my first Robin Mark purchase, I assure you it will not be my last!
This project will energize your soul as you get lost in its great music. Do yourself a great favor and buy two copies, one for yourself and another for a hurting brother or sister who needs healing in their own soul!

First of all I was expecting traditional hymns. Which is what I wanted, so when I heard the first few cuts I was like, no way is this for me. I am definitely an old-time, Southern Black Gospel or traditional classical hymns, type of person. But I was busy that day and didn't have time to take it off so it continued to play out. I began to feel the artist hungering pain for his God and for his Country. By the time it reached to cut #10. I was touched, really touched. I actually stopped what I was doing and began to go into praise. I was truly blessed by this song. Then, I guess because it more met my initial expectations, Cut #14 is my absolute favorite. I find myself going to this CD every morning before I listen to any of my other religious CDs. It is like my Worship time. Thank God for this artist allowing the Holy Spirit to flow through his work.

A Healing for America and Belfast,
By Gayla Templeton (KS USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Come Heal This Land (Audio CD)
I received this CD just a few days before the terrible tragedy in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania. I have played it constantly and it has been my comfort. I just wish I could play it for every family who has lost a loved one. God is with us and it will be "The Year of the Lord". I visited Robin's church in Ireland May 12 and was so moved by all that comes thru this church. It was a blessing and continues to be one of my most cherished memories of Ireland. I didn't think he could produce anything that would compare with Revival in Belfast but of course with the obvious annointing on Robin, he has opened the door to heaven again so we can have just a sample of the music we'll use to praise our Lord & King . Thanks again Robin. You know we in America need and love your music. It is a true blessing to us when we need His healing for both of our lovely and bleeding countries.

Unmatched passionate worship,

Every year I spend the better part of March in Singapore on business. When St. Patrick's day comes around, the already deep emotions I feel for my immigrant grandparents and their homeland grow even more intense. So many generations have benefitted from their courage to come to the US, and generations will do so after me. While in Singapore last year I came across Robin's album, "Revival in Belfast." I played it nearly every day in its entirety. It moved me into that worship place I long to go to and made being away from my family somewhat easier. When I heard a new CD was due out in June of 2001, I couldn't wait. I bought it the first day, and it has met all my expectations. Often we are content these days if there are a couple songs that appeal to us on a given album. As for me, better than half the songs on this CD touch my heart in a profound way. In particular, tracks 9 (Come Heal this Land) and 10 (Everything Cries Holy) form an unmatched passionate worship sequence in my estimation. As well as intercession on behalf of Ireland and its people, by changing "Land" to "Man" I was able to make this a personal plea for restoration and boldness. "Everything Cries Holy," with Robin's crystal clear voice, beautiful back up singers, and powerful arrangement has the power to bring tears of joy to your eyes. Although it may take time for the word to get out, it will just be a matter of time before all of America and the World will lifting heavenward the praises contained on this CD.

Since first hearing Robin Marks' music in his first album, I have eagerly awaited his newer albums. Each one has been as good if not better than the previous albums. Wonderful to listen to and to sing along to. Wonderful praise music!

Absolutely a Worthy Successor,
By A Customer
This review is from: Come Heal This Land (Audio CD)
In case you have any doubt, the answer is "yes, this is an absolutely worthy successor to 'Revival in Belfast." One can shop up and down the lists of praise and worship music these days, and one will find only few others in the same blessing of anointing as Robin Mark. I still cry at the beginning of "Come Heal This Land" and especially at the end of "Everything Cries Holy." But these are but two of the many songs that present to the listener the beautiful face of Jesus. Robin Mark's heart still sounds humble and devoted. I thank God for his music, and that Robin hasn't succumbed to 'superstar' awareness or behavior.

Another treasure from Robin Mark, for the glory of our Lord and master. "Lord Have Mercy," and "forever," were also done by Michael W. Smith--and both to sensational effect. Our church does "Forever,"--not often enough. And what can be said of the title track "Come Heal this Land?" It's not just northern Ireland that he means--it's all this fractured world, with all its lost souls toddling towards destruction. That's who wants healing, and Robin Mark can approac our Lord and ask his mercy and be heard--like Michael W. Smith, but with a deeper, more booming barritone. If Roger Whitaker did Christian music--and what wouldn't we give to have him do so--maybe Robin Mark would have an equal. but alas.

One of the Best Worship Albums Ever,
By Rob Nowogorski (Canada) - See all my reviews

Although "Revival in Belfast" remains the standard of worship albums, this one is still great. Robin Mark's style reminds me of Van Morrisson during Van's "Christian phase."

Beautiful,
This review is from: Come Heal This Land (Audio CD)
What is a missionary? Many believers define the term as referring to one who, through arduous toil, takes the Gospel to a jungle tribe in a third-world nation. Many fail to see the harvest that could, through perseverance, be brought about in the United States, Great Britain, and mainland Europe. Robin Mark seems to understand this truth. His CD "Come Heal This Land" captures an unquenchable hunger for revival throughout the world--from Western scientists and linguists who claim that reason can save them to impoverished nations that have never before heard the message of salvation.
The second track, "Take Us to the River", aludes to Revelation throughout. "Glory to the Lord Our God" is a beautiful, modern interpretation of Psalm 24. "In the Beauty of Holiness" is one of my favorite songs. I cannot here resist the temptation to type the lyrics to the chorus: "So I'll pause at Your gates once more As my heart and my spirit soar And I'll wish I could love you more My God and my King." The other songs, too, are beautiful--particularly the slower tracks. Robin Mark's passion for revival is clear and fervent. I would recommend this edifying album to anyone with a heart for the Lord Jesus Christ.

God bless Robin Mark,

Robin has inspired our family with his music and we thank God for his passion for his saviour and inspiration to write such glorious songs of praise. This CD is exceptional. We loved Revival in Belfast expecially due to Days of Elijah. We love Come Heal this Land even more. "Take us to the River" is wonderful to sing along with and "Ancient Words" really makes us pause and reflect on our focus of the day.
We will never forget the opportunity we had to sing along with Robin in Belfast PEI and to talk with him. |
