I gave this album three chances to grow on me since I perchased it on the release date. But every time I listen to it, I can't help but think that this album was rushed. I've perchased every Cam'ron album, and to me S.D.E is still the best by far. Im not writing this review in intent to hurt Cam's name, but only to let the longtime Cam fans know whats the dilli. First off Cam still have his incredible writing skills, but he dosent seem to be half as gritty as "Confessions of Fire" or S.D.E. We all know artist have to grow, but this drastic of a change over 2 years exp: "Let me know" to "Oh Boy" is shocking. Every song is sampled, he even sampled Tupacs(R.I.P)"Ambitionz of A Ridah". The ROC did a very swell job of recruiting Killah Cam but somebody needs to step up and give him the beats to match his writing. I know the ROC has some tight ...beats bucause Memph and Beanie was rockin' em on thier last efforts. Fa sho the second go round Cam is going to come off as a fire spittin' dragon.

Cam'Ron brings his recognizable delivery with his smooth voice and hood rhymes. He drops nice wordplay and is consistent with an above average yet unexceptional flow. 3.5 stars cuz his content gets a bit repetitive so if you're looking for deep lyrics, this will probly turn up shallow for your tastes.

"Intro" (bangin beat but talking half the time then spits),
"Live My Life/Leave Me Alone" (Cam displays some of his best flow on the album over Pac's beat),
"Daydreaming" (chill beat- kick back song),
"Come Home With Me" (Some real lyrics about where Juelz and Cam come from),

"On Fire Tonight" is one of the two songs that could qualify as message songs,
"Stop Calling" (probly the rawest beat on the LP, kinda funny story about a guy in love with a [street girl)
"Tomorrow" Tomorrow's not promised... Cam leaves a message at the end to think about.

Overall, the production carries most of the burden and sometimes Cam comes through with the lyrics. Like on "The ROC" Cam's verse at the end is quality but then tracks like "Boy Boy" have a sick beat but the lyrics is far less than outstanding.

After nearly 2 years away from the game, Harlem rapper Cam'Ron returns with his best offering to date. The Roc-A-Fella records backed artist serves up a hot blend of pop influenced commercial rap but at the same times keeps it grimey as ever on straight street songs, and the result, it surprisingly pays off. Not many rappers can mix the two styles together on one album and pull it off, but Cam'Ron does it with the greatest of ease, as does the rest of his Roc-A-Fella comrads.

After hearing the hypnotic first single "Oh Boy" with best friend and collaborator Julez Santana, you know that you are in for a collection of straight hits that are oozing hip hop from the pores. The album delievers with street hits ("Losing Weight Part 2" & "Live My Life") and summer's hottest pop rap anthems ("Come Home with Me" & "Hey Ma" - the latter of the two being one of the albums best songs). The album also includes this year's hottest song so far, "Welcome to New York", Cam'Ron, Jay-Z's and Julez Santana's post 9/11 anthem, and "Boy Boy" a catchy upbeat track.

Though the album delivers these bangers, it doesn't consistenly stay strong. It slips up on "The Roc" featuring Memphis Bleek & Beanie Sigel, a track where none of them live up to their potential. The sappy rap ballad "Day Dreaming" could have been done with out, and the same can be said for "Dead or Alive" & "On Fire Tonight". Also, the countless phone interludes placed on, before and after the songs begin are 110% pointless and irritating.

As far as the production, lyrics and most of the songs, this record is pretty solid. It easily out does his disappointing S.D.E, and his debut album Confessions of Fire. For those who are just getting to know Cam'Ron, make sure you scoop Harlem's Greatest, a collection of his bigger hits that was released to set hype for this L.P. With the Roc behind him Cam'Ron can be unstoppable, and by the growth shown on this record, he knows it and will do anything to achieve it. Keep your eye on him.

I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with Cam'ron on this record. If I were to throw away his past, I would definitely call the 'Come Home With Me' LP a very strong debut, but unfortunately, I can't, especially because the man has "Horses & Carriage" under his belt. But nonetheless, I've got to give the man credit where credit is due, especially after making a HUGE transition into the Roc-A-Fella camp (which isn't very impressive, to say the most). Either way, Killa Cam comes correct with his grimey street stories (and man, this guy could tell some stories) of life in Harlem, but sometimes, his very non-chalant lyrics and flow could take away from his stride as an emcee. I found the production to be bangin' on certain points of the album, with joints like "Oh Boy" (which I will admit does get a little annoying at times), "Come Home With Me," "Hey Ma," and "Boy Boy." Usually, I could have little respect for any so-called "lyricist" that involves themselves with the likes of any mega-commercial label, among them being Roc-A-Fella, but this time around, I honestly had to throw my grudges aside and give a pat on the back to Cam'ron. The catchy chilled-out style that he brings to just about every track on the record entices the listener to want to sit down and chill with Cam, as he talks about his crazy experiences in Harlem, thus making this a very listenable album.

After we all thought cam was gone after his 2 wickety wack albums, Confessions of Fire and SDE, he shows his true rap character. This album is one of the best of the year.

1.Intro- The beat delivered by Kay Slay is Blazing. He talks for about a minute, and then TEARS IT UP. 5/5

2. Losing Weight pt.2- Beautiful hardcore song. True definition of Rap. Juelz Santana shines in this track. Hip Hop classic. 5/5

3. Oh Boy- Hot beat, gets annoying after a while, though 4/5

4. Leave me alone (Live my life)- Not all that. Sampled from 2Pac's Ambitiionz az a ridah. Cam has a nice flow, though. 2.5/5

5. Daydreamin'- HORRIBLE, but grows on you 0.25/5

6. Come Home with me- Another Beautiful Hip-Hop Song. My Goodness, this song is a hip-hop classic. 5/5

7.Welcome to New York City- Jay-Z has a nice flow, but the song is unoriginal. 3/5

8. Hey Ma- great party song 3.75/5

9.On Fire tonight- Cam'Ron tries to sing on this track, and sounds so horrible that it's kinda Hot. 4/5

10. Stop Calling- Great beat, Jimmy Jones shows his good flow 3.75/5

11. I just wanna- great song 3/5

12. Dead or Alive- fantastic beat, great flow, hook totally sucks, however 4.5/5

13. Roc (Just Fire)- HORRIBLE 1.25/5

14. Boy Boy- good relaxing song 5/5

Cam'ron is finally at home now on Roc-a-Fella records. This entire album is bangin. It features guest spots from Jay, Beans, Memphis, and the Diplomats. Stand out tracks are "Oh Boy", "New York", "Dead or Alive", and "Hey Ma". The only negative thing I can say is the skits kind of disrupt the flow of the album. Aside from that this is a fantastic album and I think Cam'ron will finally develop into the star that he should've been three years ago by now. Definitely worth your money......

I bought this cd because i heard oh boy and i thought it was tight. I already own S.D.E. and Confessions of Fire. This cd let me down. It sounded more like a Roc a Fella Cam'ron, not the same one you had heard previously. Theres mad heavy sampling on this cd. Some of the songs are tight, then theres some that arent worth listening to. Losin Weight part 2 is not as good as his first one with Prodigy. He shouldve put Prodigy on the track again but the Roc and Mobb Deep are having problems, so you know Jay Z aint having them hook up. If you wanna hear a better Cam'ron, but Sports Drugs and Entertainment, or Confessions of Fire instead, trust me you'll be better off with those two.

Cam'ron is a great rapper, he flows smoothly...has tight beats, and the lyrics are awesome. But always there's a downside following the upside. The downside are the flaws, "Dead or Alive," the intro, etc. Other than that (besides maybe the obnoxiuos the ROC and the irritating repetitive "Boy Boy") this album is just awesome. This CD is excellent which includes just some tracks such as--1. INTRO--Nothing much. Just talking over a mad hot beat. (2/5) 2. LOSING WEIGHT PT. 2--This is one of the best tracks one the album. Everything is just excellent on this track except maybe the length. This compares with the other best on the disc such as "Oh Boy-Hey Ma-Tomorrow-Daydreaming-etc". This is followed by the huge smash "Oh Boy," which brought Cam'ron back into the hip-hop business. (4.5/5) 3. OH BOY--A song you must already know. I'm not saying it's bad...-it's an awesome track with great flows from Santana. This one made it to top 5 in the Billboard Hot 100. (4.5/5) 4. LIVE MY LIFE--continues the great tracks on "Come Home With Me." Street anthem--but the beats are great and the chorus is good too. This is the shorest track on the album, at only a bit more than three minutes. (4/5) 5. DAYDREAMING--Great rap ballad. Tifanny does the chorus and it samples some song (along with 10 more tracks.) The beginning is annoying though. (4.5/5) 6. COME HOME WITH ME--Pretty good title track, but nothing compared to numbers two through five. Still, it isn't really bad though, just not one of his best. (3.5/5) 7. WELCOME TO NEW YORK CITY--Pretty hot track which is the first real "song" to not sample another. Has a good message to it. (4/5) 8. HEY MA--One of the hottest tracks on the album which has an amazing beat. (5/5) 9. ON FIRE TONIGHT--Heartfelt rap ballad. KillaCam does good in this track. (4.5/5)10. STOP CALLING--Cam'ron could do better than this, not really one of the album's highlights. (2/5)11. I JUST WANNA--is another excellent track, and it's really too bad it goes down down down after this great track. Has a fun an careless chorus, but some of....never mind. (4/5)12. DEAD OR ALIVE--The worst song on the CD. This song has a terrible beat and the chorus gets it nowhere from there. Only good part are Cam's verses and lyrics. But other than that... (0.75/5) 13. THE ROC--Just Fire? More like Just Boring. Really loud and annoying. Skip this track. (2/5) 14. BOY BOY--Another not-so-great song. Not good, but just okay, I guess. (2.5/5) 15. TOMORROW--is a final good ender with a fun beat to it. I really don't get the point behind the songs besides that tomorrow will be better. (4.25/5) So, here you go. Cam'ron's "Come Home With Me" CD. Cam'Ron has always been respected lyrically, and if you don' t think so then you just aint been listening. It seems like he always lacked a support system, don't get me wrong Cam held it down on his last two albums, but with his RocaFella debut, and the strong presence of his Diplomat crew his flow is tighter than ever. He's got the beats the lyrics and most importantly the hot album. "Oh Boy" has to be the sickest Just Blaze produced track in recent history. But believe me there's plenty more heat where that came from. "Daydreaming" makes a thug wanna chill wit his down a** chick, "the Roc(Just Fire)" is an ill cypher joint, "Welcome to New York City" is a confident track that definitely reps the Big Apple to the fullest. And look for "Hey Ma" to be that one memorable relaxed summer song. Basically overall this album is blasting heat like a blowdryer.
