A Long Drink from the Fountain of Hope-reading Fragomeni,
By A Customer
This review is from: Come to the Light: An Invitation to Baptism and Confirmation (Hardcover)
Fr. Fragomeni's book on the initiation sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation is, like his previous book on the Eucharist (Come to the Feast) a conversation in joy grounded with the seriousness of life and all its trials. Baptized into Christ's death, we rise to live out our baptismal promises in hope and in the light of Christ. What is most compelling about Fragomeni's book is his extraordinary skill at communicating some rather deep theology in everyday language along with stories from his own life and from our culture to make his points. Fragomeni is a preacher par-excellance. What we find in his book is that same style put to paper. In fact, at least some of these chapters have a homiletic ring - he's probably preached these same words, told these stories in many ways.
