This review is from: Come and See: A Christmas Story (Hardcover)
Come and See is a unique and remarkable telling of the birth ofChrist as seen through the eyes of children. A story of hope andcelebration, the excitement of this event is felt by the reader as the children issue the invitation to come and see and dance.

A Christmas story centered on the shepherds and villagers,
By
This review is from: Come and See: A Christmas Story (Library Binding)
This beautifully illustrated book tells the story of the shepherds and some townspeople searching Bethlehem for baby, finding him, and celebrating with a meal of milk and bread and dancing. It isn't very clear on why this baby is special, but it does say "Come see the world made new. The same old world, but new." In fact, it never uses the words "Christ" or "Jesus" but the holy family will be unmistakable to those familiar with THE Christmas Story. On the whole, a beautiful addition to a Christmas library.

expected the REAL Christmas story,
By Trina (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Come and see: A Christmas story (Paperback)
Just be aware if you purchase this book that it is not the Christmas story in the Bible. At the end of the story all the townsfolk who have crowded the barn have a time of "joy and feasting" and dance around the barn in the starlight. Not what I was looking for.
