5.0 out of 5 stars ONE OF GLENN'S BEST, January 30, 2001

"When Summer Ends," "The Warm and Gentle Girls," "No One To Talk My Troubles To" - this album is one of Glenn's best, and that's saying a lot. Glenn is a singer whose power lies not in mere vocal ability or performance (though he has both in abundance), but in his rare empathy for people, for his ability to get to the very heart of a song. Once you've heard Glenn sing a song like "When Summer Ends" it'll stick with you forever. My mom, when she was dying, said it would make her feel better if she could listen to some of Glenn's music.

Of all the Glenn Yarbrough albums we listened to as a kid, this is by far the best! Glenn's treatment of the songs are great and the album transitions beautifully!

4.0 out of 5 stars A nostalgia trip, January 9, 2007

For those of us old enough to remember, Glenn Yarborough's music echoes a time and place when music WAS music, lyrics had meaning and artists could actually sing. It was a delight to find that his work has been reissued on CD. This album has some real classics- and it would be very difficult to rate one track above another as each appeals in a different way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Do not be cynical about love, August 15, 2007
This review is from: Come Share My Life (Audio CD)
I love this album, Come Share My Life with Glenn Yarborough for its completely unashamed sentimentality, it makes me remember my youth when I loved this hard and being still married 40 years on to the same man, its good to remember.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a Voice!!!!!!!, January 10, 2007

I have loved Glenn Yarbrough since I was introduced to this album as a kid. His interpretations of Rod McKuen's poems/songs are amazing. I don't enjoy him as much as a part of the Limelighters, but their songs are fun. If you're feeling mellow, blue, sad, etc and want to let those feelings out so they go away, listen to Glenn. If you just want to listen to a delightful voice, mostly soft and soothing, listen to Glenn. If ya just want wonderful music, period, listen to Glenn. The only album of his that I don't particularly care for is the one he did with his daughter, and that's a pity.
