Will Downing's second CD was his most eclectic and versatile as he covers everything from jazzy ballads to hard-hitting New Jack Swing dance tracks. The simply gorgeous Quiet Storm ballads "I'll Wait", "The Love We Share", "Too Soon", "Test Of Time" and his simply mesmerizing and jazzy remake of Rose Royce's "Wishing On A Star" are all superb but the dance tracks don't do his voice or talents justice.

Will Downing has been a favorite of mine for many years. His seductive embrace of lyrics and vocal ranges create a perfect balance between Jazz and R&B. He has the ability to move you to a party groove or soothe you into a satin and gentle rainstorm effect.

Will Downing is often unheard of but once you get a taste of this passionately talented vocalist, you just can't get enough! It's a definite collectible!

I have had this on album for ages (or more accurately my sister did, and I inherited it LOL) Firstly I would agree with the reviewer that the up tempo dance cuts don't really cut the mustard. But it's easy to see why Will was pursuing that route. His first CD/LP Will Downing was more of a dance oriented number, being that it was mostly produced by Arthur Baker. I think this CD was a turning point for Mr. Downing, as from this point on, the slower more quiet storm moments would take president in future cuts.
This CD also holds a special place within my heart, as one song in particular helped me deal with a broken heart. 'Too Soon' is the name of that song, and every time I hear it brings back that time, which, with the passing of time, I look back on with fond memories.
`Sometimes I Cry', `Love Call', `The Love We share', the afore mentioned 'Too Soon' 'I'll wait' ( with great poignant lyrics), and a great, great cover of 'Wishing on a star', are the songs that make this my favorite Will Downing CD.

The CD had a skip on two selections but overall it was good. I have five CD's of Will.

I have been following Will through out all his albums. He always has a way about his music that seems to make everything allright. He's such a deep artist. I love him!!!!!!!!!!

There is something special about the track "The love we share" I can't explain. So you need to get the CD and play the track to understand exactly what I'am sayin'. I promise you won't be disappointed.
