5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Moulin Rouge Song!!!, April 15, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Come What May (Audio CD)
COME WHAT MAY - what can I say??? Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor have great voices. The Josh G. Abrams Radio Edit and David Foster Album Versions are great new versions of it. LADY MARMALADE is a great song, great that they added a Thunderpuss Mix of it on this single, as it is fabulous, definetly without a doubt better than the original version. And Elephant Love Medley, the instrumental is not the best, but if you want to hear the real song with vocals, check out the Moulin Rouge Soundtrack. The Video is great too! Buy this now, or else you're missing out on a big item.

I loved the film Moulin Rouge, the soundtrack and the actors (Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman), so this fit in well with my collection.

This is just a great song. If your a sap for fairytale romance and true love, this sums it up. Very well performed by Kidman and Mcgregor.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm obsessed., August 5, 2003

Okay, I'm not sure but I may be one of the select few people on this earth who owns nearly every CD involving Moulin Rouge.

In a moment of obsession and spontaneity (okay it was more like a month of it), I collected as much music from the movie as I could and was happy to come along this little gem.

The song 'Come What May' is touching to me (sap, sap, mush, mush). I really like it. If you have the first soundtrack, you've got one version already. The Josh G Abrams Mix is pretty awesome, it's the one they play in the music video (on the DVD). Next to the original film version (which is found on the second soundtrack), it's my favorite.

As for the other two tracks, the Lady Marmalade mix is rather thumpy and annoying. I don't think I've listened to it all the way through. But, if you're into that thumpy, bumpy house music techno, you'll dig it. The Elephant Medley is okay. I haven't actually attempted a Karoake night with it, but when it comes on it's a little game to see if I can remember the words.

All in all, a good CD. Have fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars REQUIEM FOR OUR LOVE, February 4, 2003
By
This review is from: Come What May (Audio CD)
And this is the other song...
Taken from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack (great movie by the way), and surprisngly performed by the two leading stars.
Sometimes love must come to an end because of reasons that are outside beyond our power.
This tune is the love theme, written by director Baz and produced splendidly by David Foster. Sometimes McGregor0's vocals are a little overblown and Kidman's too little heard, but hey...these guys are actors..NOT singers!
A pure melody and lyrics that look like a script already...
One thing is for sure: the lyrics tell it all, "..I will love you until my dying day".
