The Best Song of the Year,
By A Customer
This review is from: Come What May (Audio CD)
Buy this single. You get four versions of Come What May. One from the film Moulin Rouge (of course) the ballad from the CD and two remix versions. If you liked the movie and the wonderful singing talents of the star performers (especially Ewan McGregor!) you will love this single.NJ

The Best of the Come What May imports!,

Ok here's the deal. If you liked Moulin Rouge and you have the DVD, the soundtracks, or just love the song Come What May this is the CD for you! The Cd has 5 tracks in all. The first two are the Josh Abrhams Remix and Remix Edit. We in the US would probably know it as the video version. The Remix is very uptempo and I LOVE IT! It brings new life to the song. The other 2 version of Come What May are the ones available on the Cd's Moulin Rouge and Moulin Rouge 2. They're very good as well. The last song on this Cd is the Elephant Love Medley Kareoke. THat is also interesting! Definatly get this CD! It is way worth the wait till it gets to you!

Rare piece in music history,
By iljc82 (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Come What May (Audio CD)
Come What May has been one of the chart toppers that almost instantly relates itself voluntarily to Moulin Rouge and its amateurish performers that created it - Ewan McGregor (Star Wars) and Nicole Kidman (Ex Mrs Cruise). Penned by legendary David Foster who also wrote for renowned songsters, including Céline Dion, Mariah Carey and Chicago (It's Hard To Say I'm Sorry), the song is surround with surrealism and is clearly evident of Foster's visit. Sung by actor and actress of Moulin Rouge!, the song is just a breeze of fresh air, with new voices. The remixes are however not up to my expectation and the tempo is exactly the same with distracting techno beats in the background that almost annihilate the magic of the song. However, one may find the Film version compellingly emotional and much more intense, albeit shorter (3 min+). The elephant medley (instrumental) is congruent to the one you find in the soundtrack, only without voices. You may like to sing along with it. :o) Cover art designed well, showing Ewan and Nicole caressing. A good buy if you do not want the soundtrack but only Come What may. Not a good buy if you wanna listen to remixes.

Never Enough - Come What May,

The four versions of this beautiful, and in my opinion, best song of the year are wonderful. At first I didn't like the radio mix with it's upbeat tempo. If the ballad version had been aired instread of the radio mix, I feel certain it would have made number one on the charts. I especially love the film version. The instrumental Elephant Medley is good too! A great buy!

David Baerwald Writer,
By A Customer
This review is from: Come What May (Audio CD)
The correct writer of "Come What May" is David Baerwald; David Foster's contribution as Producer no doubt was excellent, but credit where credit is due. Excellent package, certainly stands alone if you are not up for the 'bohemian' theatrical / musical treatment of the other songs

Ah, sweet mystery of life! This is it. The ultimate. Nirvana. True love. Poems have been written and wars fought, flowers given and roses bought, but never has any single act more truly defined that sweet paradox of love as this song. Like I said, Nirvana. Buy it. Now. What are you waiting for, I said click!

come what may get on your nerves,

This is an ok song the first couple of times you hear it, but then you get a co-worker that plays it on repeat day in and day out. All I have to say is, if you plan on listening to it once in a great while, then go ahead and get it; otherwise, forget about it because it will be embedded into your brain for eternity. Besides, the co-worker can just play it for you anyway.

This song sounds ok the first couple of times you hear it, but then your co-worker plays it day in, day out repeatedly. If you like the song and plan on only playing it occasionally, then I would recommend it; otherwise forget about it because your co-worker will play it for you anyway.
