Rodriguez gets it. Power and glory. Most of the acts understand what they've been given. Yet just a special comment on the slow paranoia wrapped in a ballad by Civil Twilight on "Come As You Are;" marvelous. And check out Yuna's version of Come As You Are, who does it with sweetness.

This is one of the best "tribute" albums I've heard. All of the songs were done well and many times in a style that was unexpected-yet worked for the songs. If you're a Nirvana fan, you will definitely enjoy this album.

All in all it is a pretty good play. Mewithoutyou, and Murder By Death play awesome renditions , finger eleven did a great job with Polly. Almost all the covers are stunning. Civil Twilight did a nice job with the quiet loud dynamic, although it is a little to soft. A couple of tracks fall a little flat, in my opinion. That is why I cannot give it 5 stars. I bought the album today so I may change my mind if the music grows on me. I say 4.25 stars.

As if Xzibit took the original to West Coast Customs, this album has been pimped to levels of epic proportions. The vocals shine like they never could, the guitars roar with a sincere ferocity and the drums bang out the spectrum of human emotion. Where the first was a passe, indulgent exercise in music that had been done 1000 times before this one is a breath of air so fresh you'd swear the original covered this one. It saddens me that amazon has but five stars to give - this deserves six galaxies.
