Why aren't these guys more popular??,

I don't know why these guys haven't made it big. The song Buttons is a sure fire hit, that should have been all over the radio by now. They definitely have a Kings of Leon sound (pre Only By the Night), with an added flavor of punk and nice acoustic ballads. Comeback Cadillac has just the right mix of punk, southern rock, and a couple softer songs that really show depth. There's not a bad song on the album, a rarity that I can find an album to listen to all the way through. They have a unique sound that's easy on the ears and simplistic yet powerful lyrics. Take a risk on this one, you won't be disappointed! I can't wait to see what these guys have in store for the future.

A good find,

Came upon this album randomly on pandora. The strength of this album is in the diversity of the sounds brought forth by the band. It's a great mixture of rocks sounds, ranging from melodic acoustic to driven southern rock. With the balance of sounds I find the album to be one I can listen to straight through without skipping any tracks. I have no regrets taking a stab in the dark on this album and would definitely recommend it.

I heard the song "The Button" and was liking it a lot and assumed it was a Kings of Leon song, but was pleasantly surprised to find it was by The Weeks. At least one other of the album's tracks, "The House That We Grew Up In", could pass for a KOL song, but the balance of the album carves out their own sound. Nice mix of ballads balanced with some harder driving tunes. Seems like they would be a blast to see live.

I first saw The Weeks live in Atlanta back in March. At first sight they just looked like they could almost be young enough to be my children, but when they began to play I was blown away and I am not sure where Cyle gets that big voice but it is amazing. They played music from both albums bought the first one there and am about to get the second. Get both, they are well worth it and if you get the chance see them live. These guys have got to hit it huge.
